I'm saying that Drew isn't guilty of DDoS, and the raiders and defenders at least claim to be able to exploit updates non-destructively.

Building on this, and I'm addressing Kuriko here as well, I'm not sure how Drew was supposed to forsee that his video was going to totally debilitate NS like that. It's not like he had some sort of insider knowledge on how much the server's could take, he just wanted to showcase an interesting game he found.

Absolutely unequivocally against. This player, while bringing new nations to the game in the sum of 10s of thousands, has done nothing notable. They also crashed the site because they acted without thinking and didn't warn people the servers couldn't handle a massive influx like we saw. So no, never ever.

They also highly promoted a commended nation (you) and indirectly your region (also commended) which has caused quite the influx of nations looking to also be saved and receive the good word. They are a true modern prophet!

What Deruuu did, even with some humor injected wasn't exactly world stopping for NS. Servers lagged for a few hours, that's it. Should we start commending the servers every time NS went down?

I'm not really understanding whether you're going for a joke here or trying to be serious, it's an odd mix. On one hand you guys pretend it's like a cataclysmic event and on the other it 's "Oh he's revolutionary, he stopped raids!" and "He got a ton of new players to join!"

Regardless, I'm not supporting, the joke is derivative and Deruuu has done nothing

I'm not usually one who goes and supports resolutions in the World Assembly, but I've been watching Drew Durnil since 2016 and had my nation since 2011 and to see these worlds collide is really good (aside from all the lag on the site today) so consider me on board with this.

As much as some Drew videos have amused me in the past, I have to say no. What he did was not particularly notable nor intentional. He brought in a ton of people most of which will inevitably CTE, the lag spike he caused was annoying but, as said before, purely accidental so he can't be commended for having masterminded anything in particular and if we're going to start commending the fact that someone managed to DDoS the servers, even if unintentionally, then we're really going to fall into a bad slippery slope.

Maybe 10,000 nations, but nowhere near that many people. It appears that most newbies create 10 or more puppets each, which is quite noticeable when all the person's puppets are based on rulebreaking themes. I think we got more Nazis, racists, sex themes, and poop worshipers in a single day than ever before. It's not exactly a shining achievement.
