Liberate Asia
A resolution to strike down Delegate-imposed barriers to free entry in a region.
Category: Liberation
Nominee: Asia
Proposed by: Tinhampton

THE SECURITY COUNCIL:

NOTING the existence of many platforms that exist to reduce barriers to communication, of which one in particular has caused significant levels of discord in the international community;

HORRIFIED at the recent kidnapping of a robot that answers to "Penny," which has been known to serve The Black Hawks on the above communications platform, and that robot's forcible deportation to [region=Asia];

RECOGNISING that upwards of sixty nations, a raiding party roughly equal to that which failed to take over South America in 2010 (the defence of which has been cited in the Commendations of Woonsocket, Markanite, Improving Wordiness, Anime Daisuki and Yggdrasil), have been dispatched to repatriate Penny to The Black Hawks; and

BELIEVING that a Liberation, in preventing the imposition of a password by Asia's WA Delegate which would discourage the arrival of new nations, would expedite the discovery of Penny:

HEREBY LIBERATES [region=Asia]!

The reason no defender has made an attempt to write a liberation for Asia is, as of now, because it's potentially not a griefing operation. This isn't yet necessary, but having a draft ready isn't a bad idea. Just don't submit it until it's absolutely clear it's a griefing operation.

If one becomes necessary, I don't think this is the draft for it. You're making light of a bad situation, and makimg a funny joking liberation for something as serious as griefing isn't funny nor right in the least. No support as written.

I do not see how a situation can get more serious than a kidnapping!

I mean, uh, I am very satisfied with the position I am being held hostage in kept safe in Asia, so I am sure there is no need for any drastic action such as a Liberation! I am also definitely not being coerced to say this. :(

I don't see anything funny about the proposal or Penny's absence. We will not rest until she is found; be it password or Liberation. If we and the Security Council do nothing, we will move on-- at least a while. And as we look at this game many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance to come back here and tell Penny that they may take her notifications, but they'll never take her freedom!!!

We could find Penny more easily if we moved the natives out of the way. Liberation won't help.
