To Rein, it's not because of you, it really isn't. I still regard you as a friend, all things considered. People have their past, it's time to move on. But... it really is jarring that this added more fuel to the fire that I frankly want no part in.

I cannot take this anymore. It's not just because of me; I don't want this commendation to involve a matter of people digging through old shtick and trying to one-up each other. I don't know, this whole thing just doesn't sit well with me anymore; it was fun and amusing at first, but I really don't want to become a center of attention, especially in a drama-fest involving a region that has done nothing but attacked me and others around.

I cannot take this stress. And please don't bother writing another commendation in the meantime; I will not accept it. I have not done anything worthy, I don't deserve it.

Thank you to all that has supported me throughout. I really, really treasure the friendships I have made. ♥ I really appreciate it, but... I guess it's not just meant to be for this commendation.

The author does matter so yeah I'm sure it would be a lot different if someone like you submitted a proposal. And I'm not even focusing on Rein's CCD connection. It's the actions he committed against LKE that should not be condoned. Not sure if Valentine knew about them or not, but allowing Rein's involvement was a mistake. Chuck doesn't have a great history either, so I cannot speak to how that will affect things if he submits it instead.

I believe that if an honest effort is made to improve, then they should absolutely be accepted. It's ultimately up to the voters, of course, to determine how honest the effort has been.

I'll refrain from offering to submit it because while I don't have a checkered past, that's probably because I barely have a past (on this site, that is).

This does not mean that Valentine will never get commended. He may in the near future. Waiting a bit longer is better than having a resolution that would have be overshadowed. Sort of like having a proposal that is poorly written. Sure, the badge still happens but it would not be the best foot forward. While I understand the desire to see Valentine commended, I don't think it is good for people to indirectly be okay with forum destruction or so willing to dismiss that.

I can't speak to what Shrew did because I didn't pay any attention to it. Ultimately, regardless of that, I think this is for the best. Unless people are suddenly okay with what seems to be various aspects of forum destruction-like behavior, the author's past would have overshadowed any nominee. This proposal, even if it passed, would always have that ickiness to it and likely would have faced a repeal.

Chuck has a past history to the CCD, as such the motive behind such a proposal would be exactly the same. This means more drama, and more drama generally means less chance it passes.

Additionally, given Valentine Z seems to want to avoid drama, I would think it'd be courtesy to the person they're trying to commend to try and avoid that drama. Again, you know, assuming they actually care about the commendation and not spiting the CCD. They can achieve this by passing this proposal off to be improved by someone with no connections to any sort of controversies like the author of this one.

You can keep bringing this garbage up, but I don't have any fear of "invisible scripts". The old server was replaced for reasons that really don't involve you, and will stay closed.

Regardless of old screenshots someone's decided to post, for whatever reason 9 months later this proposal was suddenly brought up again by Reinkalistan. If anything, the timing and circumstances of the sudden revival of this proposal serve to confirm your own intentions, and those of Reinkalistan, to an even greater extent.

I don't mind drama. Valentine Z clearly does. I'll say it again: if out of courtesy for the target nation you don't want drama, I'd just recommend that any future "Commend Valentine Z" proposal be submitted by someone who isn't involved with the CCD.
