The Security Council,

Acknowledging that no Spanish-speaking region has yet received any recognition by the World Assembly,

Trusting that with this, nations that have struggled to keep the Spanish-speaking community together and active, such as Estados Unidos de las Americas, Rio de la Plata, Drancalia, Pontanova and many others that existed long before the community of this region was consolidated, will be recognized together with the region.

Aware of the value that this recognition would have for the Spanish-speaking community,

Thinking that this region was the most capable to merge with others to obtain today an active and united community,

Contemplating that the extensive history that led most of the nations to create and mantain this region until days. A long story that began from may of 2018 with the destruction of Argentina Comunity by one of its founders, forcing most of the nations found a new region commanded by Rio de la Plata, Drancalia and Pontanova, called Comunidad Latinoamericana. This last region fell into inactivity, which in late 2018 joined with Latinoamérica Libre to make one of the most popular and active spanish-speaking regions of the game,

Hereby commends Latinoamerica Libre.

Well, we need opinions and gramatical corrections (we don't have C3 speakers, only B2. Sorry)

Hello, and welcome to the Security Council!! I'll give you points on making a legal proposal your first try, and drafting on the forum forst before submission :). Usually when we look to commend regions or nations it's because they've had a long career and lasting impact on NS.

The bulk of this proposal is about the region being Spanish speaking, and that's about it. Also, both you (the author) and the co-author are from the target region itself. Self-commendations are usually frowned upon because the author has a skewed viewpoint and are biased, which is why you see many of us oppose them quite a bit. As it is now, this proposal isn't enough to warrant a commendation so I think it needs more work and an author who isn't from the region.

I think this region is sizeable enough to warrant commendation on these grounds, if of course it's legal (which it appears to be, I was worried about referencing Spanish language specifically). I don't think usual comments on self-commendation apply here either, as non-English speaking regions are a niche, which doesn't mean they don't warrant some recognition. I imagine it is harder to make an active, non-English region and that one looks to be active from the RMB. Anyway, its niche position means that the only way that regions could get a commendation written by someone not residing there, is through asking another person from an English region to write one (and how is that different from just authoring it yourself, I don't know, besides being less honest).
Pontanova wrote:Taking into account that no Spanish-speaking region has yet received any recognition by the World Assembly,

There's of course no rule against this, but by convention, only first word of the clause is bold or written in cursive. So I would suggest changing "taking into account" to "acknowledging", or something similar.
Pontanova wrote:Recognizing the value that this recognition

That strikes me as odd phrasing ("recognizing... recognition"), so change that into "Aware of the value" (or something like that), etc.

This strikes me as needing some work. It conveys the idea to me, I think, but it has some grammatical problems (especially the first sentence) and doesn't feel very Security Council-y.

Good luck with this!

Um, the usual comments on self-commendation most certainly do apply. Just because it's a niche region doesn't mean they should get a free pass on a self-commendation.

I think another thing this proposal needs is to speak of the region's activities more in-depth.

If you can show me how could a non-English region gather notoriety with the rest of NS to have someone else write a commendation, then cool. Let them do that instead. But if you can't show me such a way, I'll stay by my opinion.

As can be clearly seen, the government officials of this region can speak English quite clearly. They have the ability to interact with the rest of NS, yet they don't. Self-commendation or not, there just isn't enough information in this proposal to warrant commendation.

Well. Our community, (taking into account that i refer the group of nation who stay in our region) have a history who began before 2016. We have walked so much, we have all see the invasion of Latinoamerica, stay at the foundation of Union Mundial, and much more but i don't know how to explain it in english.

We actually are in a cold war between the two prominent spanish speaker regions, Union Mundial and us. We never attacked back, but we sometimes receive attack from puppets of player of that region (but the leaders of that region insist what they dont approve those attacks) and one of the founders of Argentina Community plays in Union Mundial and staying in that region attacked us.

But we avoided tell that because we know they have more experience and resources for make a campaign against us, and we'll breaking our personal commitment to never attack them. Probably you'll say: it doesn't matter for this proposal.

Bonus points for drafting on the forum. Of course those points are immediately lost for drafting a self-commend.

It seems that the whole point of your proposal is that your region should be Commended for speaking Spanish. Sorry, not enough. C&Cs are normally awarded to those nations/regions who are deemed to have had an impact on NS over a long period of time. I personally don’t believe your proposal shows any such effect of your region on the game.

No support.
