It warms the very cockles of my heart to see such spite, malice, bile, and vitriol being spewed at someone who has offended the sensibilities of this wretched body by daring to be commended for something other than a being GPing stooge in the raiding/defending game. It once again proves that many members of both bodies of the Festering Snakepit are equally nasty and contemptable. I do say this it causing me some anguish as this is the second SC proposal in a row I've had to support. Normally I vote against everything this body vomits out to be voted on. Even worse, not only will I probally have to burn this rather expensive fine Yeldan suit(tm), when I leave, I'll have to see the doctor to get treated for whatever Cooties I've picked up just sitting in here. Don't y'all ever fumigate this place, or set off some bug bombs? so carry on with your debate, and try to ignore my peals of derisive laughter.

<the good but unwholesome Senator then takes a bottle of Old Crow from his desk and takes a swig straight from the bottle. Then he fires up a fine Yeldan Cigar(tm) the size of a small kosher salami and puffs contentedly while leaning back in his chair with his feet up on the desk.>

I am shocked by this! Voted in favor of two SC resolutions in a row?! You're going soft, Senator. But yes, definitely burn the suit and make sure your vaccinations are up to date.

OOC
If they actually submit the repeal then i think that both you and Kindjal, if still around, would automatically be sent TGs notifying you of the fact.

Ah. That’s a nice feature.

While we don't normally vote for commendations based on NS stats, we have to say that Kindjal has done a remarkable job building up their nation and setting an example for others to follow, taking years and years of dedication to make their country better and better. Definitely a vote for.

Im considering the near-future implications of the passing of this resolution when I vote "no". I wouldnt want the precedent to be set that having a ton of gold stickers should earn a Security Council commendation. It would flood the voting floor, delaying potentially time-sensitive movements from passing, such as anti-raid measures.

I'd much rather commend someone for their actions in aiding a community of real players, not their "treatment" of an imaginary population represented only by a number.

I mean, fair enough, but at the same time, the entire game is a simulation that has little bearing on people's real lives (I would hope). Mastery of one of the game's primary aspects should be as commendable as mastery of another, I think. Also, as one of the original opponents of the whole C&C category, I would have preferred if the SC stuck to actions that actually impacted the game, such as liberations. Instead, we have an organization that exists primarily to reward people with shiny badges - and argue as to which aspects of the game warrant them. Such is life, I guess.

Kindjal appears to have done something that few other players have. If we're going to recognize accomplishments in the R&D aspect of the game, we should recognize this as well. Obviously, I've voted FOR.

Kindjal isn't just someone with "a ton of gold stickers". They are the player with the Most #1 stickers. Nobody else even comes close. And Kindjal has also maintained this for over a decade.

There's no potential to flood the voting floor. Nobody has anything close to what is being commended here, nobody else really qualifies.

But you have no problem with the same old groups of <very obscene descritive phrase> raiders and defenders giving each other shiny new badges after their latest *snort* brave escapades. Interesting.

I was originally voting against this commendation, but the post by One Small Island made me reconsider and change my views and my vote.

Congratulations to Kindjal and to Bormiar.
