This is not going to happen. At least anytime soon.

Obviously against.

OOC: A charming response. Truly, an example as to how NS is a welcoming place to all players ;) Though I will admit this; I didn't do much research on it. Noob mistake, I'm new to the SC - forgive me.

But now Honeydewistania has most graciously provided me with an example of the arguments used in favour of the repeal, I'm still not convinced. SC#52, as important to NS history as it may be, cannot sustain itself based on sentimentality alone.

I think you might not have read what was in there, but it’s basically because the new one is a sequel, not a replacement. It wasn’t intended to be a replacement, the author and co author made that clear.

OOC: I read that exact line, actually, where the original author of SC#217 mentioned it being a "sequel, not a remake".

But I'll just apply what I said previously:
South Reinkalistan wrote:OOC: Intent =/= reality. It replaces it in essence, really. Until you can provide me a valid point from the original resolution that is either no longer relevant or covered by the second condemnation, I will continue to see no need for SC#52 to remain.

If you had bothered to read the thread Honeydewistania had provided the link to, you would have seen plenty of reasons why SC52 should be retained.

However, you obviously know best.

OOC: Why, I find claiming I haven't read that thread is a ridiculous notion! Of course I read the thread. I'm a lot of things, but I'm not lazy! (okay, I am, but I still read it regardless :p)

Also, yes I do know best. Glad you've finally realised that! ;)

But I see nothing on that thread that justifies SC#52 remaining.

If neither Jakker’s or Cormac’s Long justifications can convince you, then I don’t think anything can. Good luck if it even makes it to the floor, which even with CCD cash has a chance of not happening

Ad hominem, also it being your home region Jocospor might be kind enough to fund it, cause that’s what friends are for

Starting from making a proposal that isn’t a typical popular Low hanging fruit

OOC: I don't tend to ask friends to fund my ventures on some forum board in an internet game.

Hardly new - this is your third attempt (one previous by this nation, one by a puppet) at a proposal. You’re consistent though - they were poorly written and researched as well.

OOC: I'm not new anymore? Damn. I'm always used to having my relatively young NS age being used against me. I just can't win, can I?

10 months and 3 SC forum drafts is more than enough time to realize that Security Council resolutions require research.

TBH earned both those badges and the holders of the votes that matter know it. This won't pass.

OOC: Well... I was inactive for the first three or four of those ten months, and I've only really started those SC forum drafts over the past two months... also, little-known fact (that you never needed to know), I've actually written 4 SC proposals :/ I tried a really noobish Condemnation of Consular once. So if any of you find my proposals badly-written, know that it used to be so, SO much worse.

But as I was saying - having read up and researched once, I still stand by my resolution.
Kaboomlandia wrote:TBH earned both those badges and the holders of the votes that matter know it. This won't pass.

OOC: So the entire argument against SC#52 not being relevant is "Well TBH deserves it..."?

Sure, you might be improving, but way too slow. You need to realize that this stuff takes work; assuming otherwise is insulting to the SC and will result in failure. Additionally, pushing out every single person who tries to help you isn't doing you any good. It doesn't matter whether they're "biased against you cause CCD", you need people to like you if you want anything you write to pass.

At this point, many people have given up on you. That's why you're not getting much feedback. I recommend you take a few months off of the SC- or even NS, if you can. Maybe even create a new nation. I used to be in your position, and it worked for me.

OOC: Well, I'll admit it. This proposal was badge-hunting. I didn't research it, and I ended up digging myself deeper and deeper into a hole because of that. I'll take your advice on the chin. I do need a break, I guess. Afterwards, eh. I'm just gonna huddle in my little corner of NS and not venture outside. It's nicer in here than dealing with inter-regional drama. See ya.
