This new awards ceremony, inspired by the Gameplay Awards, is meant to honor Security Council players who have proved to be excellent authors.
Obviously, just like in our condemnations and commendations, no real weight or authority exists in the "awards", but to have won an award given by the public with evenly weighted votes should still be prestigious.
Schedule
- The nomination period will last until the 5th of January;
- The voting period will last from then to the 12th of January;
- Nominations cannot be made by DOS or OOC blacklisted players;
- Nominations cannot be made for DOS or OOC blacklisted players;
- Self-nominating or nominating your own proposal is prohibited;
- Nominate as many people as you like for each award;
- Providing justification for each nomination is highly encouraged;
- Seconding is pointless but still fine;
- Give the nation's full name, not a nickname (e.g "Testlandia" instead of "Test", "Land of Testing" instead of "LoT");
- Awards are given for actions carried out in 2019;
- Voting will be carried out via Google Forms in order to avoid
- If a player is found to have voted twice in any award, all their votes will be voided;
- You can only vote for a nominated player;
- Votes from DOS or OOC blacklisted players will be voided;
Awards
Most Prolific Writer - An award given to the player whose contributions to the Security Council have been deemed more entertaining, well-written, significant, or greater in quantity than all others.
Most Helpful Critic - An award given to the player who gives the best advice on proposals drafted.
The Loudest - An award given to the player who, despite a lack of positions in the WA, carries the most weight in suggesting how a region votes.
Up and Coming Writer - An award given to a new SC player who shows the most promise for their future in the SC.
Best WA program - An award granted to a region or organization's WA program which does the best in swaying nations to vote a certain way.
Best Written Resolution - The proposal we find to be the most moving, entertaining, or convincing.
Best New Idea - The resolution we find to be most pioneering or interesting.
Most Impactful Liberation - the liberation that NS is most likely to not have been the same without. Includes those which liberate a prominent region and those which do the most for their region.
Greatest Failure (IC only) - Self-explanatory. The proposal we find to have been least likely to pass or most poorly executed. Only applies to proposals campaigned for - not drafts.
