Understanding that the noble region of the New Roman Imperium has fostered extensive diplomatic ties with large regions to promote inter-regional peace and goodwill despite their relatively young age and meagre size, including the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators, a well-respected and recognised region on the global stage, and previous nominee for a commendation on this council that was unfortunately thwarted by nefarious influences,

Recognising the region's undying dedication to maintaining these links and establishing new ones through righteous, God-given conquest and skilled diplomacy, namely Fridomme and the Basilican Republic respectively,

Noting the valiant efforts of Mikachi, Narcisare, Asurmenia and Legio VI Scandinavi in repressing those misguided few in Fridomme who would dare defy the unquestionable might of Rome,

Applauding the stunning resilience the region has shown despite completely unjustified international hostility and diplomatic attacks by larger regions,

Pleased by the subduing of barbarous regions by the New Roman Imperium, which has graciously occupied and civilised multiple regions in the name of global progress,

Concerned by the lack of international recognition for these selfless and benevolent acts of Imperial civilisation for the greater good,

Seeking to amend this by granting the New Roman Imperium and her dependencies the long overdue praise they deserve,

This is the rule you invoke, is it not? Well, we are not referring to the player behind the region, are we? Anyway, it only specifies nations, not regions. It's a personification, like the maiden 'Britannia'.

Oh no, this is completely independent. While this nation is in the CCD, the NRI itself (a region I have a puppet in) is the subject of this proposal. I don't think 'ally' is the best word, although the current proposal was made with Imperial Assent from Novae Romae

At this time I feel it necessary to mention that the Supreme Council of the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators was not consulted in any official manner regarding the existence of this proposal. We find the New Roman Imperium to be a faithful friend, but we would not ask anything like this of them.

BBD has a lot of experience in the SC and helping authors/new authors so in your shoes I’d take his advice on proposals almost as much as a moderator.

This region wasn't really active; nobody really cared about regions gameplay. There were 4 nations, 3 of which were active. After invasion, 3 of these nations left. That's, indeed, huge success of the "Empire"
My point was, attacking peaceful region does not deserve commendation.

Your words are noted. However, I would implore you to look at the benefits the region will receive, such as Imperial protection from exploitative powers. The founder and all natives are implored to return; they will see a large amount of their former powers and authority returned, on top of representation on the Senate and further boons. Also important to note, we have engaged in diplomatic subjugation of other regions, such as the Basilican Republic, who have willingly accepted these benefits.

To expand, there’s nothing in here that’s vaguely commendable. Nobody really gives two shits for CCD (let alone a region having relations with them, which just shows they have poor judgement), and the raid you’re mentioning was executed terribly.

The people involved are not transphobes. The most hurtful of these comments were made by an individual with an improper understanding of the issues behind the political discussion that was at hand, and was also being a bit of a dick, something he regrets.

The spamming was regrettable, and has been faced with sincere apology and promises not to repeat it; something that we have kept our word to.
