Still no condemnation for the Proletariat Coalition, whose nations actually destroyed the forums in question - that says it all. This is a condemnation directed at ASE by ADN members and their spawn who didn't like Eurosoviets and now defended by Imperialists who don't like defender regions.

Until TPE gets that treatment and all the actual forum destroyers, this condemnation makes very little sense beyond personal vendettas. You can chuck in all the personal comments and irrelevant references you want but deep down you know I'm right here.

I'd happily vote for a Condemnation of TPC. You're free to draft one up if you wish.

If that's the sole response you have to my points, then well, your position is baseless.

Sorry if that's too long a response. :p

Cormac wrote:And the libel continues. This time, not only am I accused of condoning forum destruction, but perhaps of wanting to commit it at some point in the future.

Not at all. Certainly I didn't intend to insinuate you want to commit forum destruction in the future and I apologize if it came off that way. I did actually edit my post a few times and originally the more sinister thing was in a later paragraph so I hadn't fully considered what could be insinuated by moving it. Anyway, my actual point is merely that absolving the defender forefathers of all their sins paves the way for justifying future defender interventions (against raiders or those who engage in raiding) - no matter how tenuous the basis for intervention.

Cormac wrote:The continued existence of Condemn Allied States of EuroIslanders, to the exclusion of any other region or individual responsible for forum destruction, politicizes forum destruction. You folks are weaponizing these acts of forum destruction against defenders. You're doing it still today. It's reprehensible, it's unacceptable, and it needs to stop.

Absolutely disagree. It's an IC response, to an IC matter. The basis for the forum destruction was quite clearly a matter of R/D gameplay, not an OOC matter - and thus its appropriate that the basis of the response is in the same vein. If you have examples of raiders destroying defender forums for IC gameplay reasons, then yes, a in game resolution against that activity would be appropriate and one that I would welcome. Why not respond with specifics though, and bring forwards such a resolution if there is one, rather than moan about how "rephrensible" it is that defenders are being held accountable for their actions.

I’m not really in the business of condemning anyone, but it was more just a case of following the logic of the authors (why condemn ASE instead of TPE).

Nevertheless there doesn’t seem to be a great appetite to repeal this (at least not with my name on it), so not going to waste time on protracted arguments.
