[Draft] Repeal Condemn The Land Of Kings And Emperors

Postby Old Hope » Sat Jun 01, 2019 8:20 am

Declaring that the resolution contains a libelous unprovable statement, namely that someone was used as a scrapegoat for horrible actions, even despite evidence that points to the person being actually the one responsible and acting on their own,
Further declaring that the author lied about incidents and fabricated evidence to mislead nations,
Enraged at the behaviour of the author,
Disgusted to have passed a resolution including deliberate lies,
Horrified to have passed a resolution including libelous unproven and likely false statements,
Apologizing to The Land Of Kings And Emperors for having passed that resolution,
The Security Council REPEALS Security Council Resolution 281, Condemn The Land Of Kings And Emperors.

In case the resolution at vote actually passes...

OOC:This is poorly written, however I shall be voting for if it ever reaches vote.

It doesn't address the actual resolution?

Ahh, due to the bad formatting and me using a phone, I didn't notice that, apologies.

Think you mean "scapegoat", not "scrapegoat". The even is unnecessary.
Further declaring that the author lied about incidents and fabricated evidence to mislead nations,
Enraged at the behaviour of the author,
Disgusted to have passed a resolution including deliberate lies,
Horrified to have passed a resolution including libelous unproven and likely false statements,

The fourth and fifth clauses could be merged into a single clause.
Apologizing to The Land Of Kings And Emperors for having passed that resolution,

Not quite sure if this is an R3 violation, but I think it is at least skirting the line. Changing "Apologizing to" to "Seeking to ameliorate the situation with" or something, thus describing the act of repealing the resolution itself as a sort of apology in itself, would address the problem and put more weight behind the act of repealing

In terms of legality better ensure you stay away from anything that could be interpreted as “tit for tat”.

There has already been one attempt that was declared illegal for that reason.

This will hopefully not be needed; the vote starts to go for "against".
