It's clear this resolution has been spurred by OOC events, but it seems those events have also had an impact on IC developments. So, moderators obviously need to look into all this, but I'd suggest it's also reasonable to use IC mechanisms to address what has happened.

When a commendation or repeal of a commentation is published with no evidence and just “trust us it’s bad.” I cannot vote for the repeal. All cards on the table or drop it.

As no factual elements are given, my vote is withdrawn.

I support, but we should go a step further: CONDEMN Solorni! This will make history.

I agree with the repeal.
But say somehow, solorni somehow manages to get re-commended. Than what?

Say solorni becomes a raider. Raides every feeder. Than what?

There is literally a 0 percent chance this will happen again because GCRs have long memories. If so, it’ll just be repealed again.

we don't condemn people for this sort of thing because some people don't care what sort of attention they get so giving them badges, even "bad" badges, will act as a motivation for the behaviour

She'll CTE first before it happens, and memories are long, long enough that there will be bans in every respectable region waiting for her.

Memory is forever in this game, lol

Vote Against
Please take note that the nation which wrote the proposal belongs to a raider region.

And that is relevant to the repeal in which manner?

Please take note that in 2015, I was primarily responsible for revealing a method that the largest raider organization at the time, DEN, used to cheat their way forward, which lead to their region being removed from the game. There is no nation in Osiris that you could more uselessly smear with cries of "raider!" than myself.

While I don't believe a condemnation should follow, this is a terrible argument... Giving them a condemnation will not encourage the type of behavior that led to this repeal.

Also the badge argument in general is trash but

Vesborea does not wish to offend any of the esteemed nations of this assembly but how can any nation ask for a resolution to be passed on the argument of "dude trust me I can't tell you why but she's like the worst." I would ask for more details like other nations, but I respect the august Candlewhisper Archive's recommendation to not dig into this. No nation should be expected to defend itself in public against unknown arguments. Without knowing whether these alleged crimes are petty personal issues or are extremely grave, Vesborea must vote against the appeal on the grounds of "presumption of innocence."

Presumption of innocence does not work when Solon confessed to the alleged crimes.
We just can't link on site because it violates NS rules

I'm usually out of the loop when it comes to things like this, and not having enough information (and not voting in time) I decided not to vote. I've seen chatter and speak of horrendous things but I'm not sure whom I should believe. As long as such discussion remains in the confines of the forum rules, what happened?

It's on the Europeia forums if you really want to look.

Put it this way.

I had my qualms.

Then I read what happened.

Then I no longer had my qualms.
