I don't think he deserves a commendation, at least this commendation as it celebrates his GA activity. He's done plenty of harm to the community alongside his many contributions, and the specific resolutions he has authored as referenced in the commendation are of mixed quality and are inaccurately described. He certainly isn't a candidate for a condemnation, but his history is a very mixed bag.

Would you care to elaborate on the "harm" that IA has done to the community for those of us who do not know very much about the GA? I'm genuinely curious.

His repeated refusal to draft his proposals, under the pretense that doing so would offer no useful input, betrays a disregard for the community's activity and interests. It also demonstrates a belief that he is better than everyone else, and I would argue that such arrogance is hardly a positive influence on the GA community.

Also, he's passed plenty of bad resolutions, and attempted to pass many others, several of which have been found illegal at vote. I think that should be taken into account when celebrating someone's authorship.

IA wants to push a progressive agenda on the WA, and nations that are conserative both IRL and IC have every right to fight that off.

If feeders didn't exist and everyone was regionless and had a welcome telegram explaining what regions were, I'd say we would/will have a metric crap ton less people settle into the pacifics and feed their delegates when they join the WA. And before someone points out that Europe isn't a feeder, I'm just gonna say that at this point, it pretty much has enough inter-regional connections to be one.

What? they aren't elected with WA votes. They are a coalition of regions/delegates and are not a game institution. As for their motives, that is not for you to decide. If you think that though, there is nothing preventing you from forming your own coalition in opposition. The WALL illuminati thing will likely limit how seriously many will take you though.

Forcing new players to leave has a bit more credence (if you are talking about leaving the WA) but everyone in the WA has to play by the same rules. Inter-regional connections don't make a feeder so no, you're wrong. This is a political game so voting blocs such as WALL are inevitable. Regardless, disguising Jocospor's petty rivalry with IA, one of NationStates most prolific WA authors isn't going to stop WALL. You wanna fight WALL so bad then form your own voting bloc and stop using the WA to act out his childish feud with IA. Otherwise keep writing poor and misguided resolutions and watch as your money is wasted getting them to vote only to fail with an overwhelming majority of opposition.

CBA to check which got drafted, but for a start? Repeal Freedom of Religion, Repeal Freedom of Expression and the Three attempts at Repeal On Universal Jurisdiction.
And yes, when a person repeatedly lies about the content of resolutions in order to repeal them I think it is fair to say they are badge hunting. It seems you made the mistake of assuming by criticism wasn't born out of fours years of observing IA actions.

Then you should start by condemning (not via the SC) all the people who keep submitting illegal repeals against densely written resolutions. This narrative that people who get hit by honest mistake challenges are lying purposefully is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard. It's equivalent to the claim that authors are intentionally trying to make their proposals illegal. The connected implicit claim that authors should always concede when challenges come up is too equivalent to arguing that no author should defend themselves upon Legality challenge.

That's especially that case when we don't see anywhere near the vitriol laid against Auralia, Wallenberg, and Excidium Planetis for their attempts at repeal also found illegal for HM. It's not a surprise that people who draft lots of repeals have more HM challenges due to the nature of their being more repeals subject to the rule.

Nor do I think you, Aclion, really understand what the current state of the HM rule entails. It's something emerging from a precedent set against Jocospor, that the mere existence of any illegality requires removal. That's a standard which teleologically has little substantive purpose, and I've made my thoughts on harsh HM (led by SL and BA) very clear.
