Clarifying that, during the aforementioned apocalypse, it had been understood that no more than a hundred nuclear weapons could successfully irradiate the territory of a given nation in total,
Noting a swift influx of nations into various large groupings as soon as warning was recieved of the impendent nuclear battle royale, one of the most notable and largest being "UPPERCUT" - the United Pacific Pact for Eradication, Radiation, Clean Uranium, and Teamwork, an alliance between the feeder regions of The North Pacific, The Pacific, and The South Pacific,
Introducing the nation of [nation=long]Josephtan[/nation], an otherwise little-known liberal democracy whose military fought valiantly through the beginning of the nuclear apocalypse,
Understanding that, approximately five hours into the nuclear apocalypse, Josephtan's territory was targeted by over 1,500 nuclear weapons emanating from the "Dauntless" grouping, which was comprised of nations domiciled within New Western Atlantic,
Applauding how the government of Josephtan acted selflessly and calmly throughout this scenario of extreme danger, having not defended a single one of these strikes, and being understood not to have requested other nations to do so, despite the efforts of nations such as Edwerlantin, The Resentine Kingdom (and vassal states thereof), and Nekronia,
Noticing that, as a result of Josephtan's decision to allow their national territory not to be defended significantly from nuclear weapons, upwards of a thousand anti-ballistic missiles (out of almost 56,000 once the dust had settled on the 30th of August) were saved from usage, which contributed significantly towards defending virtually every other nation in UPPERCUT,
Observing that - even despite the government's ironic decision to redomicile Josephtan to the New Western Atlantic just months later - Josephtan has permanently been inscribed into the multiversal canon regardless, through their national personification (an honour that few other nations have received beyond their own accord) as a martyr who died in the name of nuclear apocalypse,
Believing that any nation which makes sacrifices for the greater good of the multiverse as well as Josephtan's government did during one of the most tense events in global history deserves recognition by the World Assembly,
