“The World Assembly should outlaw the condemnation/commendation of a nation based on the form of its government in order to allow equal opportunity for all forms of governments.
It is clear that democracy is the more favored system and so more members of the World Assembly would be quick to support a commendation of a democracy. A fascist state is often times less favorable and would be hard pressed to manage a commendation, let alone get one in the first place.
This leads to a sort of bias in the World Assembly, where only the most democratic states can be praised purely for their democracy and any state that is slightly “authoritarian” is swiftly criticized (even if it is a fellow democracy).
Regions should be judged the same way, based on merit and not how “democratic” or “authoritarian” its government may be seen.
The condemnation/commendation of a state is a privilege that must be used responsibly to praise nations for their contributions rather than for their form of government. For the sake of having a free and fair World Assembly, blindness in the face of how one rules should be mandatory.”
I feel as if there is something lacking in this, as if there is not enough weight, what will make this work (besides more formal language)?
