[DRAFT]Commend The Empire of Magnos

Postby Magnos » Sat May 12, 2018 6:17 am

THE SECURITY COUNCIL,

The Empire of Magnos although only recently founded, deserves recognition from the World Assembly as a great nation that has done many humanitarian deeds.

This recognizes the Empire of Magnos’s great design of its flag. An absolutely gorgeous flag with a mighty red eagle imposed on a yellow field. The best flag in the World Assembly in general, but the Security Council in particular.

The Empire of Magnos has been promoting the RIGHT ideals, instead of those foolish nations that think “democracy” is good for all nations.

The Security ought to commend the hard working nation of the Empire of Magnos, and it ought to do so promptly!

Population of 6 million + self-commendation + potential humour value = full support from the Tinhamptonian delegation.

One quibble: The Security Council "Hereby Commends" nations, it does not call upon itself to commend nations ASAP. Also, your nation is just Magnos, not Empire of Magnos.

OOC: Welcome to the Security Council!
I would recommend looking at passed Security Council Resolutions and the Guide to the Security Council to better understand the functions of the Security Council and what is considered a proper commendation.

Commendations are typically awarded to nations and regions with various contributions to the international community. The most recent commendation, "Commend Gay," was written to recognize the region, Gay, and its achievements in representing and providing support for the LGBTQ+ community on NS. The second most recent, "Commend Solorni," recognized the nation, Solorni, and its service as a WA Delegate and its influence in a large region, Balder. Solorni has also overseen many Security Council functions and essentially transformed many functions of the SC with his massive influence and input. He's also affected the international community in a number of ways. In short, commendations are awarded to those who have made massive, notable contributions to the international community, and have worked towards the betterment of the member nations of the WA.
