It seems that the same introductory verbs are often used over and over in Security Council resolutions, creating an air of plodding repetition and boredom that I believe may make people disinterested in the Security Council. As many real authors know, the best way to write is to show rather than tell. Showing creates excitement, adds character, and shows detail to your readers. As such, I have compiled some common Security Council verbs, and suggested more evocative alternatives.
