The people of the Saar,
Called after the collapse of the German Reich to redesign its community life culturally, politically, economically and socially,
Permeated by the realization that its existence and development can be secured by the organic classification of Saarland into the economic sphere of the French Republic,
Trusting in an international statute, which will lay the foundations for his own life and his revival,
Based its future on the economic connection of Saarland to the French Republic and the monetary and customs unit with it, which include:
- the political independence of Saarland from the German Reich,
- the defense of the country and the representation of Saarland's interests abroad by the French Republic,
- the application of the French customs and currency laws in Saarland,
- the appointment of a representative of the Government of the French Republic with a right of appointment to secure the customs and monetary unit and a supervisory authority in order to guarantee the observance of the Staff Regulations,
- an organization of the judiciary, which ensures uniformity of case law within the framework of the Statute.
The Landtag of the Saarland, freely chosen by the people,
And, after overcoming a system which degraded and enslaved the human personality, to anchoring freedom, humanity, justice, and morality as the foundations of the new state, whose mission it is to build a bridge to the understanding of the peoples And to serve in reverence before God the peace of the world.
