Commendation vote in Security Council

Postby DiegosAwesomeCountry » Mon Apr 03, 2017 2:07 pm

It would be appreciated if as many world assembly delegates as possible approved the new security council proposal, "Commend The Affiliation of the Allied States." Read the proposal and you will know it's worth while.

Read the proposal and you will also know that it is illegal for real-world references, which is what we call a Rule 4a violation ("Winston Churchill", "Dwight D. Eisenhower", "World War 2"). I implore that you pull this proposal, read the SC rules, and then redraft it on this forum before submitting it. Making a forum draft will go a long way.
Text as submitted for posterity:

Commend The Affiliation of Allied States
A resolution to recognise outstanding contribution by a nation or region.
Category: Commendation
Nominee: The Affiliation of Allied States

The Affiliation of Allied States expresses the same compassion Winston Churchill, and Dwight D. Eisenhower expressed during World War 2. They also are a small region, but each of its members upholds it honor and position with an upright zeal. This nation deserves to be exalted and recognized. Vote For if you can relate. Vote For if you can't relate.

It's also illegal for having no active clause - R3 violation.

I get that it was a bad proposal. Actually it was terrible. Like the world assembly

Yes i agree with them that it was actually terrible, and although i'm not that involved i would like to give some pointers I've seen over the course of my experience.

First of all, the real world reference just shot it down immediately like they said.

Second of all, aside from the first point the formatting is a clear show of some slight inexperience. I'd suggest going through past resolutions to get a general idea of how to write it professionally. You never know how far it'll go.

Lastly as a personal point, i couldn't help but notice that you were trying to commend your own region. There's nothing against the rules about that, but taking into account the age of your nation, i'm sure that most would not take it to heart. I'd recommend waiting until your nation is slightly older. Most tend to have faith in older nations.

And where the hell did that come from?

Look. Out of anyone in this game, I would know about the WA and other nations hating me. You think because of one bad proposal that got removed, you get to vent onto the WA. I don't think so.

It was a commendation for his own region, too. He literally only cared about the World Assembly because it could commend his region.
