Seriously, however: I think Yggdrasil is certainly a deserving candidate. The SC needs to do a better job of recognizing contributions outside of gameplay, and I think Yggdrasil is a shining example of success outside of the purely R/D game. IDU will vote for this as written.

I think with the expansion of rule 1 commending IDU would be a minefield. Recognizing the WA resolutions authored by... uh nations. And issues written by... uh other nations.
Although you could reverse it and recognize Gnejs' WA authorship and Bears' issue authorship :p

Anyway back on topic,

Just to let you know: Yggdrasil in its original form was founded in early 2003, but was refounded by the Goddess Relief Office in late 2006.

I am aware. Do you think I should tack the word 'orginially' into the clause? I don't feel like it's misleading or wrong as written now and it's certainly stronger, but I could be persuaded otherwise.

Made some very minor word tweaks today. I still feel like commendations cannot be an encyclopedic documentation of all affairs in a region. The current wording, although not specifically addressing the re-founding of Yggdrasil, is the strongest and is accurate, but I'm still keeping an open mind if other feel differently.

I still plan on submitting this in 6 or 7 days, but I'm more than happy to get feedback or suggestions in the mean time.

I will likely submit this and run a TG campaign tomorrow (unless something comes up IRL for me). So last call for comments.

Looks good. If you've reached the stage of just doing small tweaks then it's probably time to submit. Best of luck.

It looks like today is actually the more convenient day for me to run a campaign, so I'm submitting this now. Thanks for all the help, everyone.

I feel like an ass for only saying this now, but the line about the 80 missions might be better if tweaked. 80 isn't an impressive number in a bare context, but it feels like the proposal is playing it up. Maybe mentioning the specific operations while also conceding that it wasn't the biggest or more prolific group would work better.

No harm done. I've pulled the proposal. I'll think about how to precisely tweak the line presently.

Cheers, sorry for the late comment. Otherwise it looks pretty good, and like I said that was a relatively minor thing. It'd just be a shame to see you catch flak for it when it's easily fixed.

How's this read:

Applauding the success of its volunteer army, the Yggdrasil Defense Service (YDS), which, although not regularly deployed, has assisted in the high profile liberations of Lazarus, South America, and Japan, among other operations;

Doesn't seem like a problem to me. Obviously if you can get more operations listed you should, but that's the right idea I think.

I've added a couple more regions to the list. I'd like to be illustrative without being monotonous. The complete list of Yggdrasil's defenses is here:

http://www.half-hp.net/yggforums/index. ... ttle-list/

If someone feels something on the list absolutely deserves mention or one of the actions I've listed in my list isn't a great choice let me know. Otherwise I will submit this again tomorrow.

I'd include Feudal Japan and the Skeleton Army. Feudal Japan was a significant battle from what I recall from others, and TSA is commended now so its name carries weight. I'd pull Anime and Iwaku personally, since you're right to say that you don't want it to be a giant list. Not sure if my pull suggestions are great, but the additions I put forward should be good.

Yeah good calls I remember Feudal Japan too and considering my non-involvement in gameplay and the time that has passed that must really be saying something.

This resolution is now at vote.
You have my full support. It's quite a relief to see decent legislation like this come out of the SC.
