Help with a SC Proposal Draft

Postby Cepcecic Ghost » Thu Feb 23, 2017 6:41 pm

Hi there! I just wanted a list of at least 20 regions which HYDRA Command has raided (https://www.nationstates.net/region=hydra_command)

If anyone makes a list, I thank you alot!

How many regions should a raider region raid before it is worthy of a condemnation / commendation?

I don't believe the number matters, but rather the significance.

It was kind of a rhetorical question, but yeah, raiding impact / severity does tend to play a part. I was hoping the OP would take it as there needed to be more reasons for condemning a region instead of listing off a few raids here and there.

You see there's a little thing called research. It's where you do a bit of digging, looking around and generally investigating to find the information you require. What it doesn't involve is getting other people to do the work for you.

If you're serious about an SC proposal I suggest you start with the rules and acquaint yourself with them - it will save a lot of problems later.

I dunno, I feel like I've seen Todd diss himself at least once.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

^That would be a good place to start.

If you want to write a proposal, do the research yourself. nobody will do it for you.

Comparing Todd with God is like comparing a chicken with a rooster. Yeah, there are differences, but they don't matter to most people.

It can't be a coincidence that Todd rhymes with God and God lives in the clouds. Hmmmm.

I think I may have inadvertently threadjacked, and for that I apologize. The OP asked for help in making a draft. Could the OP provide some direction and points that would make this region worthy of a condemnation?

Sure! HYDRA COMMAND has destroyed many long-lasting and peaceful regions, with little to none opposition from defender nations. Instead of leeching onto raided nations, HYDRA COMMAND has only one goal. To destroy their targets.

Mmmwell, do me a favor. You're going nowhere fast with your current arguments, as there's already a current thread devoted to Condemning Hydra (that OP submitted a draft, but it is not in any way up to the quality that most proposals these days are scrutinized against). Simply providing generalizations or listing regions in which they have raided really doesn't merit a condemnation. Raider regions come and go. What makes this region different and therefore in an entirely separate category from current and historical raider regions? That's what your draft should address.

Please view this topic on a guide to the security council, and this topic, which briefly covers the rules of this body.

In addition, I strongly urge you to view some recent commendations and condemnations of regions that have been passed in this body. Heck, the one currently at vote, Condemn The Black Hawks, appears well-written and full of hard facts and solid research.

Thanks for the insight! I'm relatively new to WA resolutions, and have only ever helped make one, not make one.
