Out of genuine curiosity, have there been any real attempts made toward a commendation of TGW? I feel like that’s a massive region that’s been on the list of ‘definitely needs to be commended’ for a long time and I’m curious if anyone’s tried it.

I don't believe so. The resident Defender Commenders Quebecshire and Westinor would probably have a CoI, as they're Warden-Lieutenant and Commander of the Grey respectively, so it might be best taken up by an indie or someone with no membership in TGW. That's not to say, of course, either of them are blocked specifically, but it would be a different situation from, for example, Quebec commending SHM and Westinor commending TRR.

I always enjoyed my interactions with Yodle in 2017 during our FORGE days, but this behavior would probably disqualify any R/D mention if not severely limit the proposal in general. From my recollection, it was extensive and deliberate.

Ofc I have no clue what I'm talking about, but I'm itching to bring up again the possibility of using declarations to resolve all those eternally-recurring SC debates the condemnation/commendation badges alone have no means of managing. I'm talking about Onderkelkia, the Catholic person, those kinds of people. The NSLeft and imperialist spheres are prob full of these half-"controversial" types.

I was around I think when the whole concept for declarations was floated in the WA Discord server. Essentially, this was their intended, initial purpose. To many of us, declarations were meant to enable the SC to establish an "unofficially official" doctrine or book of opinions for itself, like the GA has. That means the SC can choose to support the LGBTQ community, scold NatSov, promote [...], reply to [...], condemn a concept like [...], whatever you like. Declarations can be used to answer any and all questions the Security Council is met with.

SC declarations can't make anything "illegal", although they can urge against some behaviour. (NB: GA proposals which address topics of R/D are illegal for Metagaming). The last attempt at something along these lines was by Daarwyrth, here.

SC declarations can't make anything "illegal", although they can urge against some behaviour. (NB: GA proposals which address topics of R/D are illegal for Metagaming). The last attempt at something along these lines was by Daarwyrth, here.

Didn't know that, thanks for the explanation. As you can see, I'm a NS member for nearly 10 years and never entered this part of the forum. Mostely i'm active on F7. I'm very unexperienced with writing SC and WA legislations, but I'm happy to learn more about it.
Well, maybe I can write it like this (very, very short version): "Every future raid on a region with a pacifist tag is condemned by the security council"? (or something)?
