[DRAFT] Repeal "Liberate the Arab League"

Postby Wallenburg » Wed Jan 11, 2017 10:02 am

Since this is apparently necessary:
Repeal "Liberate The Arab League"
Category: Repeal || Resolution: SC#213 || Proposed by: Wallenburg

Recognizing the previous invasion of the Arab League,

Aware that the Arab League has already been freed from its invaders, without need for a Security Council liberation,

Concerned that a prolonged liberation of the region can only threaten its security, allowing potential invaders to enter the region as they please,

The Security Council hereby repeals SC#213, "Liberate The Arab League".

Target resolution and debate thread.

Never forget Eternal Scholars!

Yeah, I'm willing to support this, unless the region gets raided between the passage of the liberation and the submission of the repeal, of course.

I don't think any of us will forget that fiasco. That's why I'm going to submit this as soon as possible, to avoid the likelihood of an attack on the region during the vote.

That "fiasco" was because the raiders invaded it midway through the vote, and only a frantic multi-player effort changed it in time. Against until the Delegate's security is assured so we don't have that disaster again.

I don't know what to think here. There are inaccuracies in the proposal to Liberate the Arab League as well as the proposal to condemn Anarchestan.

It is obvious that people will vote based on what is written in a proposal without looking further into it.

In regards to actual natives, I counted 3 that were active, 2 of which were in the initial government that Anarchestan instated. Elections were happening when stuff started going down

Anarchestan was the WA delegate of The Arab League for 55 days, in which no one was against it until 2 weeks ago when Anarchestan started taking steps to prevent forther raider attacks. It appears that someone else attempted to rise to power in the WA Delegate position but failed (proposals mention that the rightfully elected WA Delegate is Al-Maghrebi yet they aren't even a WA member). When that failed, you decided on the security council to help in your endeavours

Khorason wrote:The liberation force was not ready to deal with the cowardly invader fleeing at this time. We need time to organise our defence mesures due to his untimely departure. We appeal to any nation to write a repeal proposal so that the natives may retake control. As soon as the repeal proposal is ratified by the liberation force and natives we will propose it and begin a campaign to get it onto the voting floor and voted through to become a resolution. Whoever does write this will be recognised by the liberation force and please send me Khorason the repeal proposal before proposing it.

And thank you all for your overwhelming and unwavering support.

There you go.

Agreed

Agreed

Here's the thing. The delegate only has 5 endorsements. You try to repeal that liberation now and some raider force will come in and steal the delegacy like they did with Eternal Scholars. We had two days to switch that vote and we barely made it. There's no guarantee we'd be able to pull the same trick twice.
