[PROPOSAL] Liberate World Awesome

Postby Obi-Wan DENobi » Wed Aug 10, 2016 3:19 am

Link to the proposal

Why this should be done:

1. The region is protected by a password that the residents can't see.

2. The owner, who put the password there has ceased to exist and the WA delegate is inactive.

3. Old nations who get restored after ceasing to exist (Castrolla, for example) can't get in.

Because of this, WORLD AWESOME SHALL BE LIBERATED!

Yes, and if it stays so, he'll soon cease to exist.

Liberation proposals can only affect delegate-set passwords, not founder-set passwords such as the one that you seem to be saying is the problem in this case.
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

The delegate could remove the password, but he doesn't. Also, i can't remember who last changed it.

And why should the SC do the Invaders' dirty work?

Because you love us? And if it was really our dirty work, do you think we'd submit it with a nation that has DEN in the title residing in our region? The answer may be yes.

Unfortunately this travesty of a proposal is legal as far as I can see - if I've missed something please say.

Highly improbable that it will make quorum though, which is a relief.

The problem here is that the password will not be affected by a liberation because it was set by the founder. Liberating the region will not help in any way, because it would take about as much influence for a delegate to remove a password as it would to change the password, meaning that any theoretical argument that the delegate could change the password so the lib would affect it is null.

Right, so, this was a little while ago, but I'd just like to state that Obi Wan DENobi is a known user to us in World Awesome who has somewhere around 20-30 nations and the password was actually put in place so he wouldn't bring them all there. We've all been a bit inactive recently, but that's no argument to let him spam the region with his useless nations.

The password was (and still is) "dreammemeteam". It is visible to residents now, though. (I conquered the region in 2018 btw.)

TBH someone should lock this topic, its old.
