[Draft] Repeal "Condemn DEN"

Postby Derpsadaslkkf » Tue Dec 15, 2015 5:04 pm

Noticing that after the condemning of DEN, recruits started to pour in at an increased rate.

Shocked that DEN takes pride in this proposal.

Alarmed that the rate of invasions are still constant.

Wondering if the condemnation was necessary.

Noting that a condemnation is deemed unnecessary if a region wants it.

Rembering that St. Abbaddon is being voting on for liberation by delegates.

Hereby propose that Condemn DEN be struck out null and void.

What's wrong with NSA's version that makes us need this one?

This should be apllauded. Real men conquer and plunder and if this condemnation gives them more recruits, we should condemn these brave souls more!

Ummmm... Hyperbole much? It's been less than a day, and our recruitment numbers have not shown any majors changes.
Shocked that DEN takes pride in this proposal.

True, for the most part.
Alarmed that the rate of invasions have spiked from this proposal.

Well... This is an outright lie. It has been less than a day since the condemnation took effect, and as far as I am aware, DEN hasn't even done a tag raid since then.
Fearing that many more regions are at risk of raid from the proposal recently released.

I laughed so hard at this absolutely ridiculous idea. Fear tactics like this are one of the most deplorable facets of politics, in RL and in NS.

DEN actively recruits and there has been a spike in nation creation in general. Unless you're planning to prove correlation is causation, this is dubious.

Derpsadaslkkf wrote:Shocked that DEN takes pride in this proposal.

DEN's point man in St Abbaddon, Brigadier General Knot II, voted against the condemnation. Try again.

Derpsadaslkkf wrote:Alarmed that the rate of invasions have spiked from this proposal.

This is just blatantly untrue.

I hereby propose that we instead vote for the quality repeal authored by We Are Not the NSA instead of this fact-free nonsense.

He told you so.

This is why you [natives] can't have nice things. You're too busy helping the people [invaders] who also want your nice things. :p

What do you mean about there being a lot of raider regions? Unnoticed, that is. Of course there are a lot of uncondemned ones, they havent done enough to be condemned.

Still a repeal of inferior quality. Could also make the argument that it is not R3 compliant as well.

I see little reason why the repeal should be any better than the actual condemnation itself (which was shit).

Because we should be at least trying to uphold some quality standards and not just pass any old thing someone submits to get a badge.

Because the repealed resolution's copy in the official records at least gets struck through, whereas the repeal's own copy there -- being itself unrepealable -- would be a permanently-unconcealed fixture.

I guess we both forgot that some people try to condemn raiders because they are raiders. Or in this case, because of "cyberbullying." :palm:
