Should they also make the criteria for condemnations lower? I say nay to both. The point that there are standards is what makes the badge worth something.

I agree with the above; the fact it's hard to get is why its impressive. We can't just let just everyone get a badge, they have to earn it.

Is this a statement that the 50% requirement should be lowered in order for such a resolution to pass? Or is this a statement which claims that we as the voters ought to lower our own personal criteria for voting in favor of commendations? Because the former belongs in the technical forum, whereas the latter is simply incorrect.

A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

While I appreciate your sentiment. And I do. The above is the current criteria. To lower that to anything bar what it is would effectively qualify everyone and this invalidate the process. I'm sure you can understand that would effectively leave a commendation worthless? If your candidates haven't met the criteria it's because they haven't done something worth the acknowledgement. This should spur them to try harder, not you to lower the bar for them :)

Perhaps you can lobby Gameplay and have the admin implement C&Cs within regions, so voting can be done within a smaller group of people and anyone deemed commendable by his or her peers (who know him well) would get a badge. A different one from the current WA C&C, of course.

That way a lot more people can get commended or condemned.

...which as previously stated would be a question for Technical, not the SC, and if I may add my own personal observation, impractical and totally unnecessary. Add-ons for the sake of add-ons do not improve the gaming experience for many.

Interesting. Would you mind posting this in Technical so we can get people's views on it and have the techies look at it?

It's so odd you have so many worries when the mods/admins don't.

It's a pretty good idea - people can get a shiny badge like getting Easter Eggs. :P

Commendations are very hard to get, which makes it an impressive badge and actually worth something. If you lower the standards, almost everyone would have a badge and it would become meaningless.

It's not my idea, lol?

Anyway, I'd expect something like above "Dispatches" and below "WA" or something like that. ;)
