I don't know much about NS Sports, but surely the person running it should get some say over who can participate?

1-2. Yes, I agree. However, this seems too OOC, whereas the Security Council is meant to be entirely IC.

3. I have not been threatening, bribing, or convincing nations to drop out of your tournament. I was merely given advice. In fact, one nation who originally pulled out, Balida, decided that he was going to re-join. I told him that I respected his opinion.

4. Yes, they can, and as I just mentioned, they just did.

5. Yeah, if you want to do that, you need to beef this up a little. I mean, it's not nearly as bad as an attempt as this: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=9134 But still, there's too much OOC and not enough proof that I've done something wrong. Andrewboy's demonstrated inability to run a tournament in NS Sports is hardly grounds to condemn one of the many nations that attempted to point out areas in which he could improve.

The SC is in a period of defining its own rules (i.e. no one with the power to do so is inclined to tell the gameplayers to shut the hell up and learn to roleplay). If anything, that makes it more important to be critical of resolutions that are OOC, even if they aren't illegal.

Creating threads which are copycat threads of existing NS Sport rounds is not going to get you anywhere, and this is why you're likely feeling the heat in NS Sport. Another issue is that you likely don't have the respect of the NS Sports community. Guide to Sports Roleplaying spells out the standard for the NS Sports community. Having seen a number of the complaints against you, Andrewboy, I will say this, the complaints stemmed from you not trying to play by the rules and instead just ignoring what had been set up, which to the players may have seen arrogant.

Which brings me to my point, your condemnation is petty.

I will say this for the last time. I never tamperd with the results. i did not.i never did and i never will and just because im not a great soccer host dosen't mean i cant host. The reson the W.S.A was a complete flop is because i dint complete the scorinator properly. Didnt it ever occure to you that it was posible i used the time i took off from hosting to learn how to use a scorinator properly cause thats what i did. so to make it perfectly clear,

Andrewboy: Your issues regarding etiquette in Sports, while interesting, don't really seem particularly relevant in the SC. Many of the people you are in disagreement with won't see you saying this, while the people who do see it, by and large, won't care.

Just becuase you host the tournament, doesn't mean you should scorinate... For instance, for the NIVL (Nationstates International Volleyball League), once the tourneys get going, they will be scorinated by a 3rd party. It is weird though when a nation like yours who has no soccer (of futbol) history suddenly makes it to the final round of a tournament you host and scorinate.

Judging by what I've seen, I believe the following adage more than adequately covers your situation: "you made your bed, now you sleep in it". In other words, your first and subsequent impressions in NS Sports harmed your reputation; people didn't feel that you earned their respect as a player and saw a n00b who wasn't willing to learn or reform so they decided to ignore you. Some, more vocally than others. Now, if Delaclava is breaking the rules, report it to Moderation, otherwise, is there really a point to this condemnation? It seems like you're being petty more than anything else.
