[CANCELED] Repeal "Commend The Skeleton Army"

Postby Iron Confederation » Fri Mar 15, 2013 9:29 pm

The Security Council,

RECOGNIZING the aim of the Security Council to be "ensuring national harmony",

FINDING Security Council Resolution #35 to be contrary to the aims of the Security Council in that SC #35 commends a raider region,

NOTING the frivolous reasoning within the proposal to be completely unprofessional and demeaning to the reputation of the Security Council,

HEREBY REPEALS SC#35 "Commend The Skeleton Army".

EDIT: Okay, I totally missed the point that Skeleton Army was a joke raid region. My mistake.

No.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

SC #35, the resolution that I'm trying to repeal, states that the Skeleton Army is a raiding region, and the Skeleton Army's region page lists regions they successfully raided.

Are you saying I should add those sources in there, or are you simply doubting what I'm saying?

I would also like to mention that short proposals have passed before such as SC #103 Repeal "Commend Segistan".

Just because crap passed before doesn't mean crap should again.

I highly disapproved of Sedge's commendation repeal; if I remember right, the Skeleton Army was a role play raider region. They didn't really raid you, it was all for good fun.

Apparently you've never seen visited the Security Council before. Or seen one of the Skeleton Army's "raids".

Maybe you should look into that before pursuing this further? Here ya go - I'll start you off with the first "invasion" post in Texas. You can read teh next several pages of the Texas RMB including the Settlement Offer from Big Tex. As you can see, Texas was utterly devastated by their raid, when anyone ever bothered to notice them, right up to the ... uhhh ... non-surrender.

The Skeleton Army is the kind of group that you want to raid you. They're hilarious.

oh, nice

In that case, I think I'll just withdraw my draft. Apologies for taking the region the wrong way. >_>
