The region is only 6 months old, and as far as I know, hasn't made an impact on the international stage. Their commitment is admirable, but not commendable. Therefore, my personal opinion is Against.

I have to agree with Jamie, however, this is an excellent proposal. Please keep writing. :)

What JamieFeux said. Said region hasn't been around long enough to do anything that spectacular. Your draft here is pretty weak, because you could easily exchange your target for multiple other regions in the world with some minor editing.

Nicely written prose, but please, please, please make a grammar Nazi very happy and correct those instances where you use "it's" but you should be using "its".

And Security Council should have capital letters.

Sorry. :(

Thank you all for your feedback thus far.

This is being scrapped as it seems the logical path to follow. That said, I do have one other in mind that I'd like to run past the council regulars tonight after work. Although I suspect it mightn't go over well lol. Worth a try right? :p

Again thank you all for your feedback. (And the compliments on the writing, SC seems harder to write than GA to me oddly lol).

See you in a few hours. Don't bring your wrath faces please! :)

It is an excellently written proposal.

Though I have to disagree with the others in this respect. Even though Western union is relatively new, it has flourished and grown to almost 150 nations in that time while continuing to maintain a stable region all under the precedence of democracy and liberty. This is exacly the type of reagion we should commend. I would support this proposal as it is not only written with professional suave and integrity, it is also spot on.

How is it commendable? Many, many other regions have managed exactly the same accomplishments.

Would you fail to imprision ruthless, unscrupulous criminals simply because there are worse killers out there? No! You jail them all.

In the same respect, even though there are other commendable regions out there doesn't mean this region should not be commended. Let others champion their greatness. Don't squash a decent proposal simply because no one has commended other regions yet.

This is a prime example of "how to do it right". I say we should recognize that.

Truth be told, I accept that this region is a fledgling, and furthermore, on an international stage, it is yet to accomplish much, but this is the very reason we should commend them, for how much work they've done, how much they've achieved and essentially to spur them on further.

This is not to say there are not other regions commendable for exactly the same reasons, but I don't know anything about them, so I can only work with this one, which I do know, well.

I do believe they are commendation worthy though, even if it looks like I'd have an uphill battle convincing others of that fact.

Seeing as you're residing in the region you are attmpting to commend, aren't you essentially commending yourself?

That seems like a rhetorical question but in the event that its not. I don't believe Abacathea would be worth commending. So the short there is no. Ill get no nice badge or undeserved props. The region however will, because it has earned them. As a community, of 150 nations, not 1 ;)
