Hello, new delegate of Christmas here. I'm just wondering does Christmas need that liberation thing? It's not like its on the top of raiders list of places to raid. I'm also trying to build embassies with large defender groups

You didn't need it in the first place. Defender Scare tactics and propaganda were at their finest (read: Morally lowest) during the Liberate Christmas debacle.
Never underestimate the power of cynicism, pessimism and negativity to prevent terrible things from happening. Only idealists try to build the future on a mountain of bodies.

The Thing to Remember About NationStates is that it is an almost entirely social game - fundamentally, you have no power beyond your own ability to convince people to go along with your ideas. In that sense, even the most dictatorial region is fundamentally democratic.

Pot, Kettle and Black spring to mind. Asgard were willing to sink just as low and lie to anyone to try and get their way on the matter.

Unless you've actually got plans to password the region Thehaloforrunners (or think you'll need to in the future) then it's unlikely to make much difference to you.

I have no stake in Asgard - not a pot calling the Kettle black, incident. And actually, no, Asgard was nowhere near as bad

With or without the Liberation, I predict the Christmas raids will take place. That being said, you currently have one endorsement, and the native community (which you are not a part of, Mr. Less-Than-A-Week-Old) seems to like having it in place. That being said, I didn't agree with the Liberation in the first place, and I'm all for repealing resolutions like this.

I'm sure this will cause me many headaches later...but here's the draft I had written back in August.

And so would the local Bears.
