Postby Braxil » Sun Aug 26, 2012 5:38 pm

Not worth it to condemn TNI.

Either way (legal or not), this a poor draft. Not nearly enough material in here for the exploits of TNI.

A well written Condemn The New Inquisition is certainly passable.

I may or may not have previously submitted a Condemn TNI.

It may or may not happen again.

Not Condemnable in and of itself.

Braxil wrote:CONSIDERS that a majority of the nations in The New Inquisition are dictatorships or facist countries.

Irrelevant

Braxil wrote:OBSERVES that they proudly boast that they raided the Rejected Realms.

Not Condemnable (more laughable, considering the details of that raid).

Braxil wrote:FEARS that The New Inquisition may raid other regions without a founder.

Yes. That's what raiders do. Not Condemnable in and of itself.

Braxil wrote:UNDERSTANDS that citizens of countries in this region are oppressed by their governments.

Irrelevant and not Condemnable.

Braxil wrote:SEES that they describe themselves as Imperialist, Invader, and Monarchist.

Irrelevant and not Condemnable. (+ Why is Monarchist in that list? What's bad about that?)

shouldn't have resubmitted this. It hampers efforts to get one passed.

Opposed. I don't think The New Inquisition has done anything condemnable in any case other than being an imperialist region (which in and of itself isn't condemnable in my view). But even if TNI was condemnable, this is a terrible draft. Mahaj's previous draft was better and that's really saying something. :P

Opposed. The draft isn't very good, nor is it significant information.

Added to that, I really don't think that TNI needs another ego boost.

TNI is the type of region that would actually look down on a condemnation.

Maybe some of them would, but the big TNI people would look at it as a huge ego boost

Actually. To be fair, most regions which actively recruit (like TNI) don't want a condemnation since it wouldn't help their reputation.

I don't believe anyone in The New Inquisition would look at a Condemnation as an ego boost, though I'll allow individuals to speak for themselves. The New Inquisition is an imperialist rather than a raider region, which contrary to popular (defender) belief does mean that it differs from raider regions and organizations in several important ways. One of those ways is that it is a political region that takes foreign affairs, including with game-created and other neutral regions, very seriously. Imperialist political regions don't tend to take the same pride in Condemnations as most raider regions and organizations do.

Lest the above be construed by Mahaj or some other defender as justification for this Condemnation, let me repeat that The New Inquisition has not done anything that would warrant a Condemnation. Unless the Security Council is really willing to condemn a region just because it doesn't adhere to the ideological worldview of the FRA and the UDL. If that's the case, by all means the Security Council should get busy cheapening itself by condemning every region that bears the Imperialist or Invader tag.
