[DRAFT] Repeal Liberate Land of the Liberals

Postby Feux » Tue Aug 07, 2012 12:59 pm

Argument: The Security Council,

NOTING that Security Council Resolution #15 was placed on Land of the Liberals to relieve it from the oppressive regime of New Earth and succeeded in this regard;

OBSERVING Land of the Liberals has since then been refounded by The Alliance of Dictators in the interest of the region's own political will, defeating the purpose of the liberation to free Land of the Liberals from foreign oppression;

RECOGNIZING that sense Land of the Liberals has been refounded, threats from raiders and raider organizations no longer exist to the region;

BELIEVING that because Land of the Liberals is now a possession of The Alliance of Dictators under its administration, the liberation is rendered pointless;

HEREBY REPEALS Security Council Resolution # 15.

Meh, it's legal at least. Those "natives" of the region don't wish to see the Liberation repealed, however. Aaaaand the current Liberation isn't really hurting anything. I'm on the fence, personally. Seems like a bit of nit-picking that doesn't need to be nit-picked.

I wouldn't classify a puppet nation of someone in TAOD as a native of the region...
And I am nit picking, but other than that, the liberation is useless so there is no need for it to remain.

And I am nit picking, not changing that. :p

It got refounded-ergo, they are natives of the new region. Not that I care, personally. I think the "the natives want it" argument is a dumb one.

This just seems unnecessary. No one is being affected by the current Liberation. It's not like anyone is protesting the old proposal. Repealing it won't change anything and, while I'm all for clearing out useless proposals, this one is still having an effect.

There are only two nations in the Land of the Liberals. The World Assembly's time would be better used on bigger issues.

Repealing the liberation would imply approval of griefing. Against.
