Security Council Proposal
ID: trump-pence_1547399809

Repeal: “Commend Jutsa”
A resolution to repeal previously passed legislation.

Category: Repeal

Resolution: SC#275

Proposed by: Trump-Pence

Security Council Resolution #275 “Commend Jutsa” shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

With all due respect, I believe that Commending Jutsa would be a grave mistake on behalf of the World Assembly. This is because I do not believe that the World Assembly should commend/condemn nations because of the quality and quantity of the issues they write because I consider that this is a civic duty that one must encounter in NationStates and writing issues does not make one above all, it just makes one normal. I myself have written numerous issues, but I don't seek any reward for my works, it is just a duty that I see myself doing if I want to succeed in NationStates, kind of like joining the World Assembly or picking a region. Instead of focusing on the quantity and quality of issues that are apparently supposed to "help" nations (they're really just obstacles to challenge nations to pick the more rational answer and not show bias) we should commend nations for helping their fellow nations with things like forum postings and regional aid. NationStates is a game about collaborating for the greater good and trying to make sure everyone has fun and even learns something about the complex principles of government. Ergo, I hereby repeal the WA proposal to Commend Jutsa.

Rule 4b, personal pronouns. Rule 4c - referring to the game and mentioning issues as being part of the game. Rule 4d, not written from perspective of the world assembly. Possibly more errors, but these are the obvious ones I can see.

Security Council Proposal
ID: pedigo_1547404300

Condemn The Great Red Union

A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Category: Condemnation
Nominee: The Great Red Union
Proposed by: Pedigo
Foreword

The Great Red Union, which will henceforth be called "TGRU," openly expresses and embraces the beliefs of Karl Marx and the Communist Theory. While on the surface TGRU claims to believe in equality, fairness, and a people led state, an audit on the region found this was not the case.

Recognizing

Each region reserves the right to govern their people how each sees fit.

Further recognizing it is the Security Council's duty to keep the rights, freedoms, and sovereignty of each nation, no matter how small, protected.

While it is the prerogative of each region to govern how they wish to be governed, when the voice of the people is squandered, the Security Council must step in.

Observing

A thorough audit led by a embassy region of TGRU found the leader of TGRU, Achain to be an abusive tyrant on many levels, which will be discussed later.

The audit was cut short by Achain, when the auditor, Pedigo, was banned from TGRU’s Discord Server, after finding incriminating server message history.

TGRU leader, Achain, is unable to keep personal disputes between nations from interfering with State duties.

Proving Achain is an abusive leader.

During the audit, interviews with members of TGRU were conducted. Many of those interviewed expressed concern regarding the fairness in the region.

Interviews also found those being interviewed feared the thought of Achain discovering they were being interviewed. After further questioning, the auditor discovered many feared;
Excessive punishment from Achain
Being kicked from the Server and the Region
Abusive comments made publicly by Achain

As the audit continued, the auditor found message history of abusive language and insults directed towards those who didn’t approve of the way Achain led the region.

Noting

In the short time the audit was conducted, 2 people were kicked from the Server, for either speaking with the auditor privately, or publicly “calling out” Achain on her abuse behavior.

When the auditor confronted Achain regarding her behavior, the auditor was kicked from the Server.

Concluding

The Security Council must protect the will of the people, and when an abusive leader is found, who uses his or her power to fight or suppress the people he or she may serve, it is the Security Council’s duty to intervene. A condemnation is the Security Council’s most powerful weapon, and should not be used lightly. If and when Achain changes their abusive regime, this condemnation should and must be removed. Until such a time, action must be taken.

Rule 3 - no operative clause. Rule 4b - personal pronouns - ‘she’. Possibly Rule 4a too? I’m not entirely show about the legality of mentioning Karl Marx.

Security Council Proposal

Condemn Imperium Anglorum

A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Category: Condemnation

Nominee: Imperium Anglorum

Proposed by: Communist Royal Haven

DISGUSTED at the passage of the poorly-written GA#454, "Debtor Voting Rights," an embarrassment to the World Assembly and all it stands for,

DISTURBED that Imperium Anglorum has received a commendation for his lack of effort in writing proposals for the World Assembly,

BELIEVING that "Repeal: Commend Imperium Anglorum," which is at vote as of this proposal, does not go far enough in expressing the carelessness and the lack of regard Imperium Anglorum has consistently shown toward the World Assembly in all of his proposals, specifically "Debtor Voting Rights."

FURTHER BELIEVING that Imperium Anglorum must be condemned for his actions and wrongdoings committed against the nations of the World Assembly,

HEREBY CONDEMNS Imperium Anglorum.

Definitely 4(b). Possibly 4(d), doesn’t seem to be written from the point of view of the WA.

Commend Jocospor
A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Category: Commendation

Nominee: Jocospor

Proposed by: Hallor

This Council,

Recognizing that Jocospor has provided a safe haven for nations wishing to govern their nations in an authoritarian or corrupt fashion or who wish to rule in such an atmosphere in the form of Confederation of Corrupt Dictators,

Understanding that Jocospor has devoted an almost unspeakable amount of time to the close management and creation of it's region, creating a rich and detailed lore for the nations of Confederation of Corrupt Dictators to interact with,

Citing the many works Jocospor has done for this Council as well as the World Assembly, including writing or helping to write multiple resolutions,

commends Jocospor for his services.

Condemn Hallor
A resolution to express shock and dismay at a nation or region.

Category: Condemnation

Nominee: Hallor

Proposed by: The New North

This Council,

Understands that the nation of Hallor is attempting to cause trouble between the two regions of Confederation of Corrupt Dictators and Europe by writing inflammatory proposals which are intended to provoke a conflict or dispute between the respective regions,

Believes that Hallor is therefore due to its actions a nation that merely wishes to spread or create conflict among regions and nations, which are at this moment the aforementioned regions,

Citing the two proposals that Hallor has already written, concerning a repeal of Security Council Resolution #263, and another: Condemn Europe, both of which are clearly only meant to attract attention to and reignite the past conflicts between the aforementioned regions: Confederation of Corrupt Dictators and Europe,

Highlighting these actions and statements,

The Security Council Condemns Hallor.

Clear tit-for-tat.

Proposed by: Dogity

This is a proposal to condemn maowi, and any hippie nation in general. There are three reasons for this: 1. Hippies are dumb. 2. Their hippie proposals infringe on other nations' rights. 3. They wish to destroy everything non-hippie. So, with that being said...... F**** HIPPIES!

SECURITY COUNCIL PROPOSAL
ID: quitman_mississippi_1551488800

Image
Commend The North Pacific
A resolution to recognise outstanding contribution by a nation or region.
Category: Commendation
Nominee (region): The North Pacific
Proposed by: Quitman Mississippi

THE SECURITY COUNCIL:

BELIEVING that The North Pacific (TNP) serves as a shining example to the world in the art of combining freedom with security, especially after recovering in the past from coups d'état executed by the likes of Great Bight, Pixiedance/Gracius Maximus/The Minister, The Crimson Order, Shoeless Joe and Durkadurkiranistan I & II (many of which are cited by past Security Council resolutions; see SC#33, 34, 49, 63, 129, 168, 169, and 269, for instance);

RECOGNISING Blackshear to be the drafter of TNP's inaugural Constitution, one of the first of its kind in the multiverse, passed not long before UPS Rail (followed by Great Bight) tried and failed to align TNP with The Pacific over much of July 2004, halted only by a combination of ejecting their own allies along with high-ranking members of the old government, and Ballotonia/Better Times' exploitation of international etiquette guidelines;

CONVINCED that, in spite of near-constant political turbulence both internally and externally - including its suspension by a stacked Pixiedance cabinet the following year - the Blackshear Constitution, ratified after the fall of Great Bight by Thel DRan, and its successors has helped guarantee that TNP remains a free and open region that respects national sovereignty, the rule of law, and the superiority of the legislative branch over its executive;

ADAMANT that TNP's in-house Security Council - a close-knit group of trusted and influential residents, responsible to TNP and its constitution, which oversee the region's security and respond to threats as they arise - has also been an influence in guarding the region from significant danger in the last decade, to the extent that it has now been replicated in many different forms with great effect, from the Council on Regional Security in The South Pacific to the Viziers of The East Pacific;

ADMIRING TNP's revolutionary and highly motivating endorsement trading scheme, which has not only aided in TNP's retention of newcomers and - through increasing the number of endorsements on its WA Delegate, the highest of any region, and its Security Council - overall regional security, but has also been a role model for many other such schemes within many feeders and in the multiverse at large, thereby reducing the risk for many regions of their ilk being fatally couped;

RECALLING that the North Pacific Army (NPA; once one of the great defender forces of the world, especially through its membership in the Allied Liberation League and Alliance Defence Networks, two of the most formidable such groups) was reconstituted in 2012 at a time when military operations amongst feeders and sinkers were rare; its new, more independent alignment has paid dividends over the following years;

CONSIDERING how the modern NPA has both defended its allies in some of their darkest hours - The South Pacific from its Socialist Republic/Milograd in 2013, Osiris from Gatesville later in 2013, Lazarus from The Pacific in 2015, as well as more vulnerable allies such as Stargate and (whilst a protectorate of Equilism) Warzone Europe on countless occasions - and contributed to invasions upon regions that previously posed major threats to the multiverse as a whole, such as NAZI EUROPE in 2014;

ALSO CELEBRATING other matters of style in which TNP has taken the lead, such as in its satirical religion of Flemingovianism, which requires its observants to worship the nation of Flemingovia (Commended through SC#182) as a god and - at least in part - arguably epitomises the sense of fun and enjoyment that is so often to be had in TNP;

FURTHER NOTING that - through The Northern Lights, The North Star, and the Northern Broadcast Service today, and the legendary North Pacific Wire previously - TNP has consistently endeavoured to keep its residents up to date with many items of news pertaining to their region and the multiverse, in formats that have (directly or indirectly) moulded the state of countless other such services today; and

CONCLUDING that TNP's actions, both within and beyond its borders, have been so influential towards maintaining multiversal peace and security, whilst at once inspiring many of the regions that have made an example of it to uphold a democratic mechanism of governance, that it can only merit the highest honour that can possibly be bestowed upon it by any body:

HEREBY COMMENDS The North Pacific.

Plagiarism of my own "Commend The North Pacific" which is currently at vote. Yes, this has actually been stolen entirely rather than just copied piecemeal!

Commend Democracy Of Bala Mantre
A resolution to recognize outstanding contribution by a nation or region.

Category: Commendation

Nominee: Democracy Of Bala Mantre

Proposed by: Democracy Of Bala Mantre

The Security Council,

Aware that during the Democracy Of Bala Mantre's existence, it may have performed actions considered by most to be benevolent,

Recognizing that the Democracy Of Bala Mantre has created puppet nations within its region, Salutations, on multiple occasions in order to subvert democracy and ensure its preferred election outcome,

Emphasizing that the Democracy Of Bala Mantre took no action to end a war (begun by several member nations of Salutations) between its region and a region with which it had an embassy, the Gordo Alliance of Got Beef in May of 2018,

Revealing that after the first war had come to a peaceful end, the Democracy Of Bala Mantre allowed its member nations to suppress messages by and eject and ban the Gordo Embassy to Salutations, which had been allowed to stay in Salutations, re-igniting the conflict,

Understanding that it was the Democracy Of Bala Mantre's blatant disregard for the say of Salutations' member nations (e.g. Pax Americanae, Anschlabaum, Mens Alveo) that resulted in a brief civil war within the region, along with the formation of the region Rolling Thunder,

Appalled that the Democracy Of Bala Mantre endorsed an invasion of the Gordo Alliance of Got Beef in April of 2019 after roughly a year of peace, with said invasion almost causing the erasing of the Gordo Alliance's ~2 years of history,

Reiterating that the Democracy Of Bala Mantre has never made any effort to quell or come out against calls for invasion by members of Salutations against other regions, including the Gordo Alliance and the International Sovereignty Pact, and also supported an invasion of Rolling Thunder,

Hereby condemns the Democracy Of Bala Mantre.

If those rule violations weren't there, it should pass because of this one line. Would it be against the rules to make a proposal to outlaw defending?
