[SUBMITTED] Condemn The Axis of Evil

Postby Ambibia » Tue Jul 31, 2012 3:25 pm

This is my draft to condemn The Axis of Evil, I am open to comments that help my process through respectful disagreements of the resolution.
Please feel free to telagram me or ask questions if nessesary.

The Security Council,

Recognizes The Axis of Evil as a region of increasing hostility as well as having violent theories, convictions, and histories that go against basic humanitarian intellect.

Considers the right of power opposed by The Axis of Evil is unjust and withheld inproperly.

Noting that the description given for the region includes the theorized depiction of a future where there is a world controlled under the visions of The Axis of Evil.

Also Noting that the The Axis of Evil determines to seek out that the world civilization (both WA and non-WA) perish in a hail of fiery atoms; as quoted from the region's factbook entrie.

Fearing The Axis of Evil plans to cause global conflict and chaos while they take control.

Disapproving The Axis of Evil’s oversight of the regions they have deliberately taken control of without representation (17 total regions at the time this resolution was written).

Recording that The Axis of Evil describes itself as an Enormous, Anti-World Assembly, Totalitarian, Imperialist Invader.

Warning All nations to be weary of dealing with The Axis of Evil.

With all previous points in consideration,
The Security Council HEREBY CONDEMNS The Axis of Evil

Well right off, AoE isn't a nation, it's a region. Secondly, you don't need as many region tags as you have. The first instance is fine-there isn't a need to link to the region every time you mention it in a proposal.

All things considered, there isn't much material in this draft. The only real substance here is the fact that AoE has taken over some regions. They haven't been active raiders for a long time. All the other things in the proposal are all just fluff. If you want to move forward with this, I would take some time to research the specifics of the region before claiming outlandish things like AoE has "increasing hostility as well as violent theories and convictions that go against basic humanitarian intellect."

Noting that the description given for the region includes the theorized depiction of a future where there is a world controlled under the visions of The Axis of Evil.

So if they change their WFE thats that clause out the window.
Also Noting that the The Axis of Evil determines to seek out that the world (both WA and non-WA) perish in a fiery inferno of ash.

Proof? Personally i've never heard them claim that.
Disapproving The Axis of Evil’s oversight of the regions they have deliberately taken control of without representation (17 total regions at the time this resolution was written).

In the scale of things, 17 is a very low number. Also, do you have some examples?
Recording that The Axis of Evil is anti-world assembly and encourages anti-world assembly support internationally.

And yet they have a delegate with endorsements. That idea is just something to do :P

Comrade Skyrim, thank you for your polite editing contributuions.

Comrade Drop Your Pants, 17 regions obviously is a small number compared to a region like the black riders. You mentioned wanting proof about those, last time I checked their factbook they had links to all 17 occupied regions, mayb they don't now i...'ll check. Also the thing about fiery ash was made up I was running out of materialistic space, I will work to fill it with something more thruthful.

ah, I was just searching the AOE factbook and this is the first entrie:

"We see totalitarian forces in the world who seek subversion and conflict around the globe to further their barbarous assault on the human spirit. Must civilization perish in a hail of fiery atoms? Must freedom wither in a quiet, deadening accommodation with totalitarian evil? YES!"

pretty evil, huh? guess that's why THEY ARE the axis of it...

I have also added another point to the bottom that I think serves well in this draft.

Perhaps this draft could be saved by being more vague, since there is little to no evidence. Makeing it more roleplay-ish might capture the hearts of the masses.

If I do the work for you then why wouldn't I submit the proposal. The truth is I don't have a stake in it. The axis of Evil hasn't hurt TGD or any of its protectorites, nor any nation in the region it leads so I have no motivation to write a proposal. I will support one and probably vote for it too due to evil nature of this region but show me some evidence of crimes against humanity or other nations. Or if you have to, Fluff it in a way that doesn't require evidence....possibly be associating them with the crimes of the "real" axis of evil.

...so you are attempting to condemn a region that wants a condemnation for publicity? That's not only a terrible reason for writing a proposal, that reasoning will automatically garner my opposition to this proposal. Those that want to be condemned/commended shouldn't be.

I think everyone should want to be commended and not want to be condemned. Even hitler though he was doing the right things for his people and campaigned heavily for the support of other nations. The Axis of Evil should look to be commended for what they are.....just perhaps for the wrong/different reasons. I still have no idea how this concept of view a condmnation as a badge of honor started.

It just won't pass. Its a good proposal but AoE have been really quiet this last year, nothing worth condemning.

That's assuming they will, and that's a lot to assume, given what DYP said. But no, that won't change the meat of this draft nor magically support all your arguments therein.

I am sure that asking that question so publicly killed the rest of your proposals potential.
