[WITHDRAWN] Condemn Mizialand

Postby Kingborough » Fri Jul 20, 2012 6:53 am

While a really good case could be made of condemning Mizialand, the one currently trying to gather approvals fails miserably and the attempted liberation of the region looks set to fail. Therefore here is Kingborough's attempt; it is a first draft though, and also our first attempt at anything in the SC so bear with us.

The Security Council,

Dismayed at the actions of Mizialand, including;

a) The seizure of the WA delegacy of the Hanseatic League;

b) The use of that WA delegacy to destroy a previously active region with a long history, the Hanseatic League;

c) Threatening to eject members of the Hanseatic League who did not leave the region;

d) Squashing the opinions of members of the Hanseatic Leagye by suppressing their messages;

e) Cancelling the Hanseatic League's long established and large embassy program, and;

f) Erecting a password to prevent any attempt to save the Hanseatic League from this fate, and;

Seeking to condemn Mizialand for the destruction wrought by their actions;

Hereby condemns Mizialand.

Stop this nonsense! Mizailand didnt do anything wrong other than to know how to gracefully walk away from a dead region

a) The seizure of the WA delegacy of the Hanseatic League;
The seizure was leagle and as best as I can tell, accidental.

b) The use of that WA delegacy to destroy a previously active region with a long history, the Hanseatic League;
The region was no longer active

c) Threatening to eject members of the Hanseatic League who did not leave the region;
He was warning, not threatening. And this was just in case the inactive members came back.

d) Squashing the opinions of members of the Hanseatic Leagye by suppressing their messages;
That is the Delegates perogotive

e) Cancelling the Hanseatic League's long established and large embassy program, and;
Once again, the delegate's perogotive

f) Erecting a password to prevent any attempt to save the Hanseatic League from this fate, and;
This is not abnormal, the members inside the region could still become the Delegate, if they so choose, and remove the password.

None of these are worth condemnation, and held together are still not condemnation worthy. Especially when the condemnation is for an intent that was not there.

God I want to flame you so bad for actually trying to add to this nonsense that Gelato and Nuetricland started by trying to steal an SC badge.

This is ridiculous, and tantamount to the condemnation of Neuvo Bluedevil a few months ago for "spamming" the SC with proposals. I'll break this down line by line and why I believe it is a terrible proposal.

While a really good case could be made of condemning Mizialand

Assuming yours is the "good case" is a bit presumptuous, especially since it includes a lot of a the same bogus logic and reasoning, clearly demonstrating you have not read the at-vote discussion thread nor know the details of the situation at hand.

Dismayed at the actions of Mizialand, including;

a) The seizure of the WA delegacy of the Hanseatic League;

You mean as a legitimate native? Mizialand was a member of Hanseatic League for a long time before decided to close it down.

b) The use of that WA delegacy to destroy a previously active region with a long history, the Hanseatic League;

I can only laugh at this, really. You obviously have done no research on the subject. Hanseatic League was never a very active region, and it was on the decline from that activity when Mizialand closed it down (see here)

c) Threatening to eject members of the Hanseatic League who did not leave the region;

d) Squashing the opinions of members of the Hanseatic Leagye by suppressing their messages;

e) Cancelling the Hanseatic League's long established and large embassy program, and;

Because, as a native, Mizialand was closing the region down. Was a bit dramatic the way it was done? Yes. Was it condemnable? Certainly not.

f) Erecting a password to prevent any attempt to save the Hanseatic League from this fate, and;

Once again, this was to prevent the re-opening of a now native-closed region.

Seeking to condemn Mizialand for the destruction wrought by their actions;

Hereby condemns Mizialand.

None of these actions are condemnable, and you have demonstrated here that you have not researched the event at hand, which would be as simple as reading the Liberation proposal thread. Our delegation advises that you do not pursue this matter, as none of the events described here are as malicious as you have contrived them to be.

Well done on posting your proposal here before you put it in the SC, if only everyone was that good.

I believe the above posters have covered the usual points but i've got one question. Have you talked to any of the ex-natives of the region about this?

God I want to flame you so bad for actually trying to add to this nonsense that Gelato and Nuetricland started by trying to steal an SC badge.

Steal a SC badge? The SC/GA is open to everyone to make proposals. And the flame bit isn't needed ;)

*pokes head in, nearly loses it from the blast of fire coming from other representatives*

Ok...

Good parts:
- Fairly well written and clearly presented for your very first attempt.
- You posted it in the SC forum before submitting.

Bad parts:
- You clearly do not have any idea of the reality of the situation, haven't read the at vote thread and haven't done any research.
- Because of the above point, this proposal is completely unneccessary and inappropriate.

Mizaland kinda messed up when shutting his region down and made it sound like it had been conquered in a raid, thus resulting in the blind backlash of a liberation attempt and a condemnation proposal by apparent glory-hunters seeking SC "fame" who didn't do their own research. It was poor judgement and choice of language on his part but its not worthy of a condemnation (except, perhaps, for wasting the SC's time). That is the only thing he is guilty of, so your assertions in this proposal are completely false.

Very well, we'll abandon this attempt. Thank you for your level headed response Dagguerro.
