Taboo Tattoo: Too Young To Have "Body Art"

Postby GOLTZBORG » Sun Mar 06, 2011 11:22 am

The govt of Goltzborg has enacted a Law of the Lands, which forbids minors to have any form of "body art" upon their person; and assigns large fines to those who do not abide by the law; of which, the law applies to both individuals: the minor who pays to have a tattoo applied to their body, as well as the one who applies the tattoo itself.

Are tattoos allowed to be applied to minors within your nation ?

Tattoos are allowed to be applied to anyone that has given, and has the ability to give, consent.

Age of majority or written parental consent. Tattoos aren't popular here at any age, however.

So goddamned leet: Rumbria is ranked 6th in the region and 1,337th in the world for Most Godforsaken.

As long as the person has legally consented to getting the tattoo (this may require parental consent, depending on the state), anyone can have one.

The Government of Goltzborg must have a lot of time on its hands to be able to meddle in such minor aspects of everybody's lives.

In Fatatatutti, whatever people choose to do is none of the government's business. In fact, a government which attempted to do such a thing would quickly become the ex-government.

Children in Fatatatutti have full human rights and may do as they please. That's not to say that there are never disputes between parents and children about appropriate behaviour but parents have no legal power to enforce their wishes.

In practice, of course, children tend to dislike needles and most of them prefer to draw their own less permanent body art.

It's all about our people.

And since our govt is rather large, and the nation's leaders, who are from all walks of life and have near infinite life experiences, we feel a need to steer the people ( especially the youth ) in the right direction from time to time.

"All for the Greater Good and the Common Cause".

Much of it comes down to just plain common sense with respect to public and private issues...i.e...health issues, public dress codes, etc.

We have the same policy. It is not uncommon for our children to have their first tattoo by the age of 7. Tattoos (and body piercings) are very popular in this nation.

It's kind of hard to tattoo a robot!

Equivalents, like stamping designs into one's metal or burning them in with a welding torch, are allowed at any age. The only restriction is that you'd better not be wearing an Autobot seal or any other nation's logo besides ours! This restriction is for all ages.

Tattoos can only be done above the age of 18, and with consent. It's the same even for prisons.

Absolutely legal. Its in our traditions. Many people get tattoos for their tribes they are born in and tattoos as badges from battles. But lately since his excelleny's revolution many tattoos bearing the government diamond symbol have become more popular uniting all of the tribes of Gorbunzia.

The only tattoo a Pony usually has is her Mark. It occurs naturally on us, usually sometime during adolescence. It's illegal to put an artificial Mark on a "blank flank", as ponies who haven't received their Mark yet are called.

You can get any tattoo you want once you hit 21, and you can get one past 16 with a parent's consent. Younger than that, however, is illegal.

Tattoos are especially popular in the Royal Navy and Army, with even the normally uptight and proper Officer Class and Aristocracy having tattoos of the Cross etched unto their arms by Japanese artists.

Powder Monkeys and Drummerboys naturally have tattoos along with their regimental brethren. Voluntarily or otherwise.

Yes, tattoos and piercings are available to all Rhodians regardless of age; however in the cantons of Aulnoria, Caspianica, Philippia, Allaghese, and Brabant, those under 17 wishing to get a tattoo or piercing must have parental consent.
