A single riflemen can kill a tank crew by tossing a grenade inside the slits in the side, or attaching C4 to the tank treads. Or laying a mine in front of the tank.
A single infantryman can do great things with the proper training and equipment.
And some degree of luck.
Vehicles have only one realistic purpose, and that is transporting infantry.

Standard Military Armour for the Merchant Republics varies depending on whether they are light or heavy infantry. Heavy infantry wear "heavy" armour which is designed to take multiple hits from shrapnel and small arms fire without serious injury.

Light infantry are given armour more suited to their role as mobile infantry, which usually consists of a light anti-ballistics plate overlapped on a standard flak vest, with additional armour on the vital areas.

I'm going to be uploading a whole bunch of pictures of these infantry, in the coming days. So I'll repost later with more info.

We have been over this dozens of times on several threads and always have come to the exact same conclusion. Attempting to kill tanks by closing in and some how getting explosives into the tank is a way to kill the tank, but it is very difficult, especially if the tank is supported with infantry. Secondly, GTFO, tanks and other vehicles that don't transport infantry are used for many reasons, tanks allow units to engage hard targets, self propelled artillery allows you to move and fire artillery faster than you normally could, and armoured cars allow for cheap and useful anti-infantry vehicles.

Also outside of video games a platoon of soldiers can't kill a column of tanks without AT weapons.
