All citizens are in the Peoples' Militia,and fully trained for combat-therefore,the defence is the users of the buildings themselves-along with automated defences i won't go into detail describing here for obvious reasons.

In addition, we take out "special" insurance policies on every one of the buildings to ensure that no one will ever try and break in. If the insurance company doesn't check and make sure there is absolutely no way even an army can break in, they have to give us back our money, ten times the amount. That is the type of stakes we are talking about here.

In any case, UMF is aware of most of the groups and individuals who even have motives for trying to break into such buildings. We've paid almost all of them off to leave us alone.

It's a closely guarded secret. the few people who thought they could sneak in well... they didn't come back in one piece.

So for most facilities, only normal police guards would do just fine.
But they are armed with homing-device rounds and scent grenades, also supported with paranoid-level surveillance hidden cams and recorders.

Once hostiles are tracked down to where they came from, we respond with overwhelming military force.

Exception is some very few facilities that we totally can't afford to allow being stolen or being destroyed. For these facilities secrecy and anonymity is our first line of defense. Secret agents are there spreading misleading informations. Some few who are unfortunate enough to find our secrets anyway are ... erased.
