Both genders are equally incompetant and things are allowed to 'evolve' within a home by natural selection...

Well, since Jankenjin are neither "male" nor "female", the concept of "patriarchy" or "matriarchy" really doesn't apply to us.

That said, we do have our own forms of gender equality/inequality, centered around our ogawa/megawa dual sexuality. Unlike male/female, which are often thought of as equal and opposite, an ogawa partner is always considered dominant over her submissive megawa partner. Fortunately, thanks to the principle of sansukumi-ai, the dominance/submission of our three genders cancel each other out:
  • Guujin are ogawa (dominant) toward chokijin, but megawa (submissive) toward paajin.
  • Chokijin are ogawa (dominant) toward paajin, but megawa (submissive) toward guujin.
  • Paajin are ogawa (dominant) toward guujin, but megawa (submissive) toward chokijin.

Thus, any two Jankenjin of different genders are naturally unequal, but when three of different genders are together, the inequalities all cancel out. This is why our people marry in trios rather than as couples.
Yes, we have a Factbook, for all those odd facts about this bunch of weird aliens.

Since the founding of the corporation by St. Elerie, women have held positions in government and business, and men conversely have been at home. While there is a higher percentage of men in the workforce and women who stay at home to "raise the kids," so to speak, politically and socially, they have equal power — at least, theoretically. In most families, one of the members is dominant, but it is just as likely for the wife (even if she is a full-time homemaker) to run the family affairs as the husband.

The current speaker of the managing board (the effective head of government) is a woman, as are one other member of the board, one member of the supervisory board, and two members of the Court of Common Law.

Female trolls are larger and more aggressive than males, so the matriarchies sort of held power from day one, though exceptional males have always been able to achieve high status

Our culture doesn't have gender roles. This came from our long agricultural history, where everyone was needed to work, and our tradition of being self-reliant. No gender (nor any sex) has a majority over the others, so it would be impossible for such domination to exist anyway.

Patriarchal traditionally, not really any these days. However, the line of ascension to the Retoan monarchy still favours males.

I would personally regard Xanthal as fairly equal overall, but in the government, military, and corporate world women account for almost 60% of those in leadership positions, which indicates they do benefit from some preferential treatment. As far as the general attitude of society goes, much of the attitude towards sex and gender breaks down at the State level, with Nakuju, Saeroun Kogu, and Shinra indicating patriarchal tendencies while Than registers as strongly matriarchal and the States of Mirfak and Trasnia sit roughly on the fence.

Neither.

We consider ourselves fortunate to be nongendered. Because of this, we have no divide like male/female to bring silly divisions to our own species. We can all do raiding, warfare, and the Coding and raising of offspring - and it's normal for a Decepticon to do all of these at some point in "his" lifetime.
No war RPs; no open RPs.
