Tappahannock uses the death penalty as a medicine to reduce society's ills, not an excuse to be cruel, and while we do not fret excessively as to the prisoner's feelings, or how much pain he feels in the end, we do try to be decently humane about it.

The Noose is a common punishment for many serious crimes (i.e. murder).
