The official maple season begins today, and us Vermonters going to celebrate all night and morning. Already a large crowd of 5,000 people has formed around the Vermont State House, and it is expected to grow to a whopping 10,000+. In total, it is estimated 150,000 people will be celebrating in some way.

Starting tomorrow morning at 12 AM, stocks of maple products will be on their way to destinations all around the world, suiting people's needs for fresh maple-y goodness.

On hearing the joyous news that the maple season has finally began in Vermont, with supplies of delicious maple syrup soon to be on its way to Izzyshipper, Queen Sophia I commissioned a gold plated maple leaf to be donated towards the Vermont State House.

We are very thankful for the Queen's gift, where it will be revered as a treasure.

It amazes Segmentian High Command that you even allow your officers to consume alcohol. Segmentian officers may only consume alcohol when they are off duty(Which is never), begin a new campagin(As a toast to the Emperor and Imperium), and when a campagin is successful(As a salute to the fallen) and even then they only are allowed a single half-glass.

due to population concernes gwrach byd is expanding it's space program. under current construction are 3 orbital habitats (1 ship yard, 1 research station and 1 general purpose facility) each with a spinning section to simulate gravity and life support for 500 people. if successful this facilities will provide a jump off point to other deep space projects.
also underway is a joint mission (with several other nations) for colonisation of mars, the 72 strong pionear group have already been selected and are currntly undergoing training. later this month gwrachbyd will launch the first deep space supply point, and automated facility carrying fuel, spare power parts and basic supplies and is expected to enter a stable orbit of mars in 18 months time. at which time it is hoped the cydonia 1 will be ready for launch
