To whom ever tries to burn the holy image of Giygas, they are taken into a hidden prison, where they are killed very slowly for their crimes, and then fed to the leaders Mudkips.

Being a new Nation, many of our citizens are rather unsettled, but we have not had any trouble with flag burning so far. But in any future cases but only if they cause or may have caused harm to other citizens, The Raptoric Lords will punish offenders in a way we deem neccessary...

The Raptor Queen has Spoken.

Tiesa wrote:If someone in your nation was to burn your Nation's Flag would there be any punishment, or possibly any reward? Does your nation have any laws, or regulations regarding Flag Burning? Tell me about your nation's stand on Flag Burning.

In Tiesa there are no laws regarding Flag Burning, though it is highly frowned apon to burn the Tiesan Flag. Many who have burned the flag out of protest have been beaten to death by outraged citizens. When it comes to burning the flag of another soverign nation, reaction varies depending on what neighborhood you're in.

The police would shoot them in the face on sight.

We don't restrict these things. Just don't hurt anyone or damage what isn't yours, and you've done nothing wrong. Unlike many here, we believe in letting our people burn flags if they wish. Besides, burning a flag or similar can be a cathartic release of anger that would otherwise fester and cause unhappiness in many.

What head?

Flag burning is frowned upon in New Amerik, as doing so is tantamount is spitting on New Amerik as a whole. Nothing is done.

Except, of course, the police won't help you at all from now on. And if you happen to be accused for a crime, you are assumed to be automatically guilty. And in general, the few political rights not outlawed by the Emperor will be denied to you.

Flag burning are legal if you announce it at your local police station at least 24 hours before you burn it and if a fireman is present at the event, and if his directions are followed at all times. We actually have quite detailed rules for flag burning

We created it because we had no life. If you are thoroughly dissatisfied, we'll make a white-version of the Libyan flag.

(OOC: I am aware it is a RPG.) :)

Flag burning means nothing, In fact burning is the only way to respectfully dispose of the flag so burning it in protest is the equivalent of making your rallying cry "What do we want?" "Modertae change!" "When do we want it?" "In due course!"

Ternans are not prohibited by law to burn the flag of Greater Tern and it's cantons. However, flag burning is extremely frowned upon by society.

Burning the flags of other nations and regions is illegal, though. Unless if the nation in question's flag is on the "Exceptions" list of the Government.

The incineration of the national flag is expressly prohibited by the national consititution. Parliament is vested with the authority to enforce said article by appropriate legislation. Violators are nearly always prosecuted.

In Vitius, burning of our Musk Oxen flag is most highly illegal. Punishments include half-hanging, the burning of fingers and government repossession of your property. Flag burning of ally's flags is permitted; however, it is highly frowned upon and you will most likely get harmed by your neighbors. Situations of enemy flag burnings are very common and are not frowned upon.

Flag Burning is legal in homes, but illegal in a public place, with one exception: Flags are occasionally burned to memorialize groups of people, similar to flying a flag at half staff

Flags are burnt all the time everywhere. The government even cells flag burning kits! But hardly anyone does, I mean, who would want to burn our super intelegent flag anyway?

Although questioning of the government and its policies are allowed and encoruaged, the largely conservative government forbids the burning of TurtleShroom's national flag in any matter outside of traditional flag ethics. Flag burners usually end up in a lot of emotional pain.

The punsihment for flag burning is public humilitatiom. Violators are tied to a tree or a post and deluded with pie.
In addition to that, the flag burner gets to spend a month in prison to think about what they've done.

The national flag may be burnt, however, if it is ripped beyond repair or if it is too dirty to clean (basic flag ethics).

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, drawing a mustache, ect. on a picture of a government official is considered plain vandalism, nothing special, AKA a two-week jail sentance. Defacing a monument or private property is a month in prison for either, and vandalizing a church or other place of worship is punishable by five years. There is no law regarding the treatment of currency... after all the Skillet is literally a skillet, that is, an iron frying pan.

Joojooflop values free speech, so flag burning is currently legal. Of course, only a minority of Joojooflop's people currently respect the nation anyway, since most of the parties are trying to replace or change the democracy to whatever they desire. Flag burning is therefore quite common, and is the preferred method of roasting marshmallows. :)

Our flag represents the power of socialism. Anyone burning it is thus considered to be burning the values of socialism and will be dealt with as with any dissident. By a shot to the head.

Yes, it's illegal.

Burning the flags of other, non-socialist nations is legal and encouraged. :3
