Economic system: Depends on your view. Practically, it's a mixed capitalist/socialist economy, though, since technically the Empire is the property of the Empress, you could just say she provides some services for her tenants.

Abortion: Varies wildly depending on the province. In more Christian and Muslim provinces, there are some restrictions, and it is looked down upon. However, in the core provinces, it is completely unregulated. An average citizen there would not really think it was any big deal, something that happens all the time. Fetuses aren't really considered 'people.' Even infants aren't, really. Generally one is considered a 'person' at about 6 months to 2 years of age.
Animal rights: The Empire isn't even big on recognizing that humans have rights. The average citizen is against unnecessary cruelty to animals, but has no problem eating them.
Atheism: The average citizen thinks it sounds a bit depressing.
Capitalism: Apathetic. Just how money works.
Capital punishment: A part of religion of many citizens in the core provinces.
Drugs: The average citizen probably uses a couple. Usually cannabis and alcohol.
