Our various civic volunteers are too busy with the business of civics, to play games

it's a thankless job that also pays nothing.

In the precious few moments of free time that the empress has, she is fond of older videogames that won't chew up all her free time with loading screens. Old DOS games especially, like such classics as UFO; Enemy Unknown, and assorted freeware games like Iji and freeciv.

The King himself never played such games as there are better things for him to do with his time (and quite frankly so can that be said about all of us).
But then again federal computer games are known to be bad due to lack of technology to make them worth looking at, predicatable stories and two dementional and forgetable characters.

I've not heard that he plays computer games, but if he did, they wouldn't include Civilization-style games that have command-and-control economies, but would probably involve market simulations instead.

(Some of these are just renamed rip-offs of real games - Vortswagen is a native company that is basically identical to Volkswagen)

The Sims 3

-The Dictator quites like this. It's been commented that his edition was hacked to allow him to fit every Sim in the game in a single lot and cause the lot to spontaneously combust with just four key-presses.

He also plays it like a normal person.

Simcity 4

-Also somewhat sadistic.

Vortswagen's Need for Speed

-A Vortiaganic based game where you get to race a police car through the somewhat demented roads of Vortiaganica and perform hit-and-runs to disable criminal vehicles, or cut off crims for long enough for back-up to arrive and arrest them.

Hand of God: Fighting the Power

-A Vortiaganic game based on the popular Call of Duty series as far as graphics and controls go. But this is based on HISTORY! You become what was at the time a extremist terrorist cell that would eventually become the Dictator's most prized soldiers. The plotline is really the only good thing, and the series nearly died, except for...

Hand of God: Battlefield 1942

-As above, but you play as the secret Vortiaganic addition to a fictional, but realistic, war centered around an anti-semetic Fascist revolution in a nation called Germany. There is an expansion pack which adds Germany's ally Japan. More similar to Battlefield 1942.

Age of Mythology - Titans

-A crazy fictional game with a GREAT plotline.

NationStates by Max de Barri

-A take on the MMORPG which centers around running a nation. Surprisingly successful for a text-based game. It's said the Dictator runs his own account on the game named after Vortiaganica, and roleplays his leader as being a fan of a game by the same name designed by a fictional character named Max Barry.
Proud member of Ankh Mauta.

I asked my hippy friends for help. Well! You’d think I asked for a kidney. They kept bringing up the fact that I was using GM seeds. Eventually they all got together and said, “Max… we can’t help you any more. We want to. But you brought these problems on yourself. And the thing is, when you ask for help, you’re actually asking us to use our skills and knowledge to prop up a corporatized product that’s not just practically inferior to the free alternative you ignored, but actually bad for the world. We just can’t do that.”

And that was how I taught them to stop asking me for help with Windows. ~Max Barry
