I warn you. The Soviets used full frontal assaults with bayonets on heavily fortified German bunkers, and suffered roughly 5000 casualties (dead or wounded) daily until they changed tactics for the better in 1943. In the end they suffered 340% more casualties than the US and UK combined, with 14,000,000 USSR casualties vs. 292,000 US and 137,000 UK. And I'm sure the immediate response is "But they fought over an area five times as big as what the Americans did", which at first glance sounds appropriate, is actually untrue. If you do the math, and measure the square miles of Eastern Europe and Manchuria vs France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Tunisia, Libya (I exclude Algeria because we did like no fighting there), Italy, the pacific islands, and Burma, the area the Soviets fought on was actually less than that of the other allies.

wouldn't it take a while for a small nation to develop such technology?...then again some tiny European countries have done it....well i
