Your nation in RL

A lot depends on the time/space of location. Let's assume my country is to remain climatically/geographically the same in RL Earth. So it could appear somewhere in the north-west pacific coast of north america, eastern Tasmania, New Zealand, southern Chile or possibly Europe. No matter where exactly the country appears, it will cause upset - the idea of a whole country appearing from another dimension is fairly startling, not even including the inevitable questions about where the people and things there were previously occupying that space have gone to. I assume as a "gay national homeland" this will provoke a powerful (and probably violent) response from fundamentalist religious groups and anti-terrorism will be a major concern on RL Earth.

I imagine there would be akward to non-existant relations with many, if not most, African and Middle Eastern states as well as the Vatican and countries in Eastern Europe like Poland and Russia. Tourism would be a huge boon, who wouldn't want to visit 'the country from another dimension', and there would probably be some complimentary technology exchanges between Saint-Sebastian and friendly countries - or by citizens looking to make their fortune in a new Earth.

On the international stage the legalisation of various recreational drugs will cause concern and probably condemnation from many countries, particularly the US. However I think many countries in South American and Europe would be interested in learning from the experience. Saint-Sebastian would work to defend its sovereignty, no doubt upsetting whoever's territory it appears in. It would also strive to join the United Nations, World Trade Organisation and other multilateral groups to help normalise its position in the global heirarchy. As for alliances that depends on circumstance, culturally and economically it would have much in common with Anglo-America, and especially Europe and Australia, being a soft-core socialist country. I imagine the citizens would feel comfortable visiting The Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia and probably be appalled with the gayttos of North America and the European continent.

If that were to happen, we would really dominate the world very quickly considering we have most of Asia and some part of East Europe - the world would really be thrown into state of confusion: including people inside my country cos in my version of world, history is fucked up (Germany won the WW1 and Sir Winston Hitler came to power in Britain in 1935, rebuilt army, invaded other small nations till they invaded Norway and Germany declared war on Britain... etc).
And we would dominate world market - and no one will give a damn about Global warming (or atleast can affect it) as the most industrialized nation (ie. my nation) couldn't care less about global warming.
And to add to all these, NASA will find a permanent scientific research base in moon and Mars researching more advanced weapon...

Cant wait for it to happen.

After decades of debate, the UN would pass a few useless non-binding resolutions condeming us, and that's about it.

We'd probably be invaded by the United States, though not right away. In such an event, we'd wage irregular war. I'm sure we'd have a lot of sympathizers in America. The conflict could even inspire secessions of some states. The foolish aggressors in Washington would be taught well that when we say "Don't tread on me," we mean it.

Well, I already have a brief idea for a short-story in which my nation exists IRL.

During the Cold War, the Socialist Republic of Rustonia abandoned it's friendship with the USSR shortly after WW2. This is do to the attempts of Stalin to make Rustonia subordinate to the USSR. During WW2, the Nazis attempted to eradicate Rustonia, as it was their true enemy; as Rustonia is a Jewish nation.

For the majority of the Cold War, Rustonia recieved funding from the PRC and the USA, hoping to turn the SRR into a vassal of their respective nations. Fortunately, no such thing would happen. In 1991, when the USSR collapsed, the world saw what a horrible mistake that was. The Soviet Union had kept the SRR in check, kept a balance of power. And without it, the SRR's economic and military power grew enormously. And in 2003, it overtook the US as the most powerful nation on Earth.

By 2011, the world saw itself embroiled in another Cold War, with the SRR in the lead against the USA. The entire Eastern hemisphere, and even the majority of South America, is now home solely to various Socialist states. And an economic 'blackout' of the US and it's remaining allies has been put into effect. The future looks grim.

Imagine for a moment that some sort of interdimensional wormhole or something of that sort opened up and threw your nation into the "real world." What do you think would be the geopolitical and economic consequences be of this happening? What would your nation's thoughts be regarding real world nations and institutions?

Minoa would have what a superpower has except for the fact there is more respect for civil liberties and an uneasy relationship with the EU since the country wouldn't be a member of the EU. Plus, Taiwan and Tibet would have another supporter for self-rule. Not so for Kim Jong-Il, as with France we don't recognise North Korea and had we hosted the Olympics our government would have persuaded the IOC to ban the team for human rights violations.

And we would have opposed ACTA, or pressure them to at least leave websites hosted in Minoa (private or public) out of their copyright laws.

Likely a lot of conflict, Luthoria uses NS tech, so man for man it could probably outclass almost any RL military, slavery is legal, if regulated, it is an absolute monarchy, and it has few natural resources, meaning it would use up yet more oil, and likely cause trouble with its neighbors. Granted I can see it being a close ally of Saudi Arabia and other monarchies, as well as China and possibly Russia.

Due to the extremely high GDP, that would be the largest on Earth, and the high amount of military spending, we could maintain the military we have that is made up of extremely advance weapons, vehicles, and technologies.That being said, we would quickly become a superpower on Earth.

We would also cause heavy overpopulation to the world, unless of course our nation was a landmass the size of Brazil in the South Atlantic, between Brazil and Africa or Eastern Pacific, west of Mexico.

A horrible, horrible war of global conquest would ensue. New Garzah has, by Earth standards, very advanced weapons technology, and has not signed anything like the Geneva Conventions, so gas, nukes, space bombardments, and inhumane diseases would abound, as well as air-strikes, napalm, and massive tank attacks on all fronts. By the time everything was over, the Earth would be a very different, very depressing place. (How the war would start exactly is irrelevant; it would eventually.)
