What do you think would be the geopolitical and economic consequences be of this happening? What would your nation's thoughts be regarding real world nations and institutions?

We're an island nation larger than the size of Australia with The main Ethnicities being Indian, Arabic, & Korean. (I'm somewhat think~typing i guess you could say.) A GDP of $24,215.45, unemployment rate of 3.21%, while my tax rate is fricken 76%. I'm a Communistic Autocratic Diarchy

Therefore we would most likely get along with North Korea, most Middle Eastern States, & China, and have indirect relations with Russia. While we would hate the United States, France, Japan, & Great Britian. Also we would more than likely stay out of The United Nations.

Obviously, it appears that if several of our nations existed IRL, that the world would be, in one word, f@&!ed. Korintar would probably prove to be an even more formidable threat to the US than China and the Soviets ever were or could be. Most people would be baffled that a country so large and with such a high degree of decentralization could be able project force across the globe, for they would think Korintar is quite unstable (which it is, to varying degrees). The Free Confederated Peoples probably join the UN and automatically become a member of the Security Council. This would greatly irritate the PRC and USA, as they would be shown up by a large nation that was a true workers' democracy. This would lead to an arms race against the Korintaris, however Korintar would retain an edge on their competitors and proceed to flood US and Chinese markets with Labour Dollars, thus leading to Russian-style hyperinflation, and, ultimately, economic collapse. The Korintaris would welcome the Zapatistas and CNT with open arms and invest in promoting autogestion and economic democracy throughout the world. As far as religion is concerned, Korintar's church leaders would meet with the papacy, the leadership of various protestant movements, and with the leadership of the national Eastern Orthodox churches to hammer out an agreement that would attempt to unify the entire body of Christ.

Should the attempts to deal with America and China fail, thus leading to a hot war, the Korintaris would have the major world powers beat in air, land, space, and sea superiority. A nuclear exchange could soon occur, which would cause grave damage to all countries involved, however, it is hoped cooler heads prevail and a spirit of peaceable competition between the world powers occurs.

North korea would also get pissed and attack us with artillery strikes. We'd blow them off the face of the Earth. South Korea goes "Yippee!" but realizes that fellow Koreans were just extirminated. They'd get pissed and convince ASEAN and NATO to declare war on us. We'd take one look at the Middle East and Canada and then we'd say "Colonies!!!!!!1" We'd conquer them. The Muslims would revolt a lot with terrorism and insurgency. We'd be forced to extirminate the Muslim population in the Middle East. We'd have to sweep across into lower central Europe and invade Italy because the Vatican was condemning us for aour large pagan population. All the Muslims and Christians would finally unite the entire world against us. We'd just use all of our WMDs on every nation in the world.

So in short, if Aldarminia enters RL Earth, the world is screwed.

Actually, that is the entire premise of Nohn - Fair-sized island populated with aliens moderately more advanced than humans miraculously appears in the north Pacific - and nobody, neither human nor syth, knows why.

Basically, there was a great deal of surprise, some posturing, and alliance of the Council of Elders with the Soviet Block (Nohn appeared in the 70s), a war with NATO, the replacement of the Council with a NATO-lead military protectorate, and basically the integration of Nohn into the rest of the world - kinda sorta. The integration part is still going on, but there are a lot of hopeful people (humans) who believe that Nohn can be a functioning Western democracy - if only the syth would calm down and stop trying to be so isolationist.

Nohn really wouldn't have all that much impact on the rest of the world outside of the initial reaction and the Ten Day War. It's population is about the same as Austria, it's size is about that of Tasmania, and it's economy is fairly productive, but it's so focused on internal conflicts that it really hasn't exerted any influence on the outside world. Sure, some neat tech has come out of Nohn's research companies, but most of it is either for military purposes or so expensive only the elite can afford it. The average human of Earth probably barely notices Nohn nowadays, other than knowing that there's a bunch of aliens living on an island off that-a-way. Not that they've ever seen one or met one, but they did read a blurb about them in high school history texts.

Of course, thanks to Nohn's booming economy and lack of willing (human) hands, there is a fair chance that young folks would be interested in moving to Nohn to work at one of it's many high-tech corporations, particularly the government-run Technological Development and Trade Corporation which works on redeveloping sythen technologies for human use.

In short, Nohn would be an anthropological curiosity, a minor industrial powerhouse, and a remote NATO base, and the rest of the world would carry on as normal.

Actually I would be if my account was old enough for Aldarminia to have the population I envisioned it would have. Around 3-4 billion. Considering I have better equipment than both China and Russia does and even better equipment than NATO, I could stand up against them. As of right now, though, I'd be destroyed.
