We can see you a mile away with our day vision eyes. Night vision sites are silly. MAYBE on a sniper scope they would be somewhat tolerable. I think filter goggles that show infrared light coupled with... well, an infrared flashlight would be quite effective for stealthy lighting, if really expensive. By the time you get to the North Phent, light won't help you. The soldiers there (The NPDF) know the place better than they know themselves. They grew up there. They only adjust the angle of their rifles when the wind blows through the leaves. Standard infantry don't use glass scopes of any kind, as they reflect flashlights. Marksmen do, but they tend to be skilled in getting into those hard to reach areas that anyone who doesn't know that specific soldier's childhood stories wouldn't think to look. They don't fire until they're sure that someone, on the enemy's side or yours, is going to die.

Also, who said we use paint as the paint? Get some local soil wet and wipe it on your outer uniform. We have snow BDUs in stock, so we don't really need to worry about that.

Regular issue training clothing is only boots, socks, belt, and pants. Most of their time is spent training in harsh environments because they are first in and last out.

Our military is very informal. It's a bunch people with a fanatical devotion to defending Dagnia's independence. They are given weapons and vehicles based on their aptitudes. We have no uniforms.
