The Shrec AP-9 Automatic Pistol is a select-fire 10x25mm 200 gr caseless machine pistol used as a sidearm by LGDF and police forces. It is renowned for its controllability, allowing a shooter to accurately fire the weapon in bursts of more than 10-15 rounds, instead of the typical two or three round bursts that other submachine guns are limited to. It has greater knock down power than the MP-7 though it isn't as accurate. Magazines come in a 30 round detachable box. A suppressor can be also fitted. The forward pistol grip folds down for use and there is a folding stock.



The MP 9 is a short recoil operated, locked breech, selective fired caseless weapon. The MP 9 features a rotating barrel locking, and the bolt is telescoped around the barrel for about half of its length. The entire bolt/barrel group is enclosed in lightweight polymer housing, which protects the mechanisms from elements and rough handling.

The MP 9 is fired by an electronic firing pin. Trigger unit features a drop safety, as well as ambidextrous safety / fire selector in the form of the cross-bolt push-button, located in the grip behind the trigger. The cocking handle is located at the top rear of the receiver/housing, and does not reciprocate when gun is fired due to its caseless non-ejecting operation. The muzzle end of the barrel is protected by a muzzle cap, which is shaped to accept proprietary silencer. Side-folding buttstock is made from polymer, and easily goes out of way when not required. Standard sights are of ghost ring (diopter with large aperture) type, and are fully adjustable, with ability to mount red-dot or night sights onto integral Picatinny/MIL-STD rail.

To avoid cookoff of caseless rounds a denatured hexogen propellant with a special binder and coating for the ammunition has increased the spontaneous ignition temperature to 371 °C (700 °F). This HITP round is fired by a patented electronic firing pin that sends a small electrical current to cause detonation of the primer which provides the thermal impulse necessary to ignite the propellant which then deflagrates, producing pressure. For added safety and efficiency during prolonged automatic fire we have incorporated a fluted barrel design in the AP-9. The fluted barrel will definitely dissipate heat quickly. This is due to the heat being allowed to reach the outside temperature at a faster rate by removing materials.

Our patented AC-3 Dry Lubricant system is used to coat all internal parts and the barrel. AC-3 is the controlled atmospheric application of a
proprietary formulated, modified tungsten disulfide. When the tungsten disulfide is applied in lamellar form through our precision process it forms a thin, uniform coating that forms a molecular bond with the substrate, and will not chip, flake or peel. It is inert,inorganic, non-toxic, non-corrosive and resistant to most petrochemical fuels, solvents and acids. Yet it is compatible will all wet lubricants.
