All drugs are forbidden, however marijuana is often used in the urbanized South. Prison terms/fines vary for the severity of each offense.

Freedom of Speech: The government is NOT AUTHORIZED to restrict, regulate, or prevent free speech in any form or matter.
Right to Bear Arms: All citizens are Constitutionally given the right to bear arms; however, this right has essentially been regulated out of existence in Southern cities. However, the possession of in the North (especially in Northern commune areas) is quite visible and acquisition is simple. The government is still working on disarming militias from the revolution, so some groups still own considerable firepower.
Racism and Xenophobia: Discrimination based on race is surprisingly absent from most of Northwest Americana's southern cities. Although present in the north, it is certainly not pervasive. Racism is prohibited by law, and xenophobia plays little part in domestic politics (on a purely racial, not political, basis)

Ironically, the nation's burgeoning southern urbanization is typically overlooked in favor of its commune based frontier life in the Northern region and, to some extent, in the west as well. In these areas, workers typically work for State run corporations or smaller private companies that have roots with other communes in the area, and typically work in industries relating to the exploitation of natural resources located in Northwest Americana's historically unforgiving, cold, steppe regions.

Imeriata regards itself with some justification as a major centre of civilisation. Certainly it is the centre of a large and glorious empire, and its concert halls, public architecture and cultural sights make it a must-see destination on any world tour.
Inuto tourists should be aware that the climate is cold and the culture is vastly different to our own. While this is part of its attraction, it may make adjustment difficult at times. Female Inutolanders should prepare themselves for a much stronger separation of gender roles than exists at home, and Neanderthals and other non-Homo sapiens Inutolanders should be aware that Imeriatans regard them as inferior species, subject to mild chauvinism at best and outright discrimination at worst.
Imeriata's slave-owning practices will discomfit more sensitive Inutolanders, though tourists are not likely to run into this aspect of Imeriatan practice too much.

All in all, with appropriate caution, Inutolanders should have few major problems here.

Zwangzug is a nation best known for its sports teams and sporting glories, and Inutolanders visiting this nation should be aware of how sports-focused they truly are. Inutolanders will appreciate their democratic traditions and pacifism, and should have few problems in visiting this nation. The one caution the Foreign Service would give is to be aware of local sports team rivalries and make allowances for this sporting tribalism. Basically, do not walk into a bar or public eatery wearing the other team's colours without making it obvious that you are a foreign tourist and thus not expected to fully understand.

The Anglo-Saxon Empire is a slavery-practising state. Despite this rather repellent custom, the Empire is known to be honourable, with a feudalistic governmental structure which should feel fairly familiar to many Inutolanders.
Female travellers should be aware that the culture is quite patriarchal, but the general lack of racist and xenophobic attitudes make the Empire a pleasing enough place for a visit.

Inutolanders wishing or needing to make an extended stay in the country should prepare themselves for a more rigidly stratified society with a much bleaker environment. The open landscape should be borne in mind if you are one of those Inutos who suffer from agoraphobia, but the general attitudes of most people seem to be similar enough to those of people home back in Inutoland.

Valsir's moderate stances on societal issues are essentially similar to those of Inutoland, and receive commendation. However, the Foreign Service advise that the country is extremely stratified, almost to the point of an informal caste system. The absolutist nature of their monarchy is a case in point, though it is tempered somewhat by federalism, while the outward-looking militarism of Valsir has marked it in Foreign Service files as a potential conquistador state.

All in all, Valsir is a pleasant enough place to visit, but an uneasy diplomatic companion.

Foreign Service advisory: Diplomatic Caution
Sebastianalandia is an authoritarian single-party socialist/communist state. Its State-promulgated atheism and intolerance of even moderate drug and alcohol use are vastly different from Inutoland, and its World Socialist rhetoric and unabashed militarism mark it as a state the Foreign Service are keeping a close eye on.

However, Sebastianalandia is comparatively enlightened in other respects, and its stances on the equality of sapient species and genders should pose no problems for any Inutolanders, even Homo floresiensis, who wish to visit. The Foreign Service does recommend that travellers avoid commenting on Sebastianalandian internal politics if at all possible, even when directly asked, and that its citizens be diligent in their compliance with the directives of its law enforcement and state officials.

The Grand World Order
Foreign Service advisory: Avoidance Recommended
The Grand World Order is considered something of an oxymoron in Foreign Service circles: an intellectualist Fascist state. It is committed to spreading its own disturbing vision of government around the world, and its military might and economic power make it a force to be reckoned with in any state's foreign policy.

Sadly, the GWO's autocratic, authoritarian government form and denial of rights to non-Homo sapiens sapients (such as Inutoland's own Neanderthal and H. floresiensis populations) are symptomatic of a gaping chasm between their economic and military muscle and their social and ethical development.

While tourists may be welcomed, the Inutoland Foreign Service recommends most visitors avoid the GWO.

Eeri
Foreign Service advisory: Cultural Caution
Eeri is a traditionally Western-type Conservative state, as is unsurprising given its large farming population. Inutolanders unfamiliar with Western political conservatism should be warned that the public nudity, body painting, tolerance of alcohol and legalised drugs considered "traditional" and "conservative" are anathema to Western conservatism. The Inutoland Foreign Service does not recommend Eeri for the casual visitor or tourist, but business travellers should face no particular problems. Travellers are advised that Eeri has only minimal gun control, and every citizen should be assumed to be armed, though this should not pose much of a problem as the crime rate is low.

Rumbria is a dictatorship, but basically an enlightened one. While it is more centralised than Inutoland, it shares the high value Inutoland places on education and science, and has a fairly open social policy. Due to its government form, Rumbria has been placed on the Foreign Service's long-term Watch List, but visitors from Inutoland should have no problems here.

The Foreign Service recommends against Inutoland citizens emigrating to this state, however.

The government of Northwest Americana has an economic policy considerably to the left of Inutoland's, but the Foreign Service commends this nation's civil and political rights and assertive diplomatic work against totalitarianism and for human rights.

The one caution the Foreign Service gives Inutolander travellers to NW Americana is that they should not attempt to bring drugs of any kind into the country, even for personal use. This includes soft drugs like cannabis and coca leaves that are perfectly legal in Inutoland; the government of NW Americana takes a dim view of drugs, and citizens are liable to face adverse legal consequenses should they fail to heed this warning.

Bonnaful is best described as an enlightened despotism. However enlightened its domestic policy, though, the Foreign Service of Inutoland has placed Bonnaful on its black list, due to the nation's aggressive interventionist foreign policy which has a penchant for destabilising foreign regimes using special operations personnel. Inutolanders are advised to avoid this nation.

Greto is another militarised capitalist nation, but its domestic policies should pose few problems for Inutolanders. Young travellers between the ages of 17 and 21 are advised that the age of majority in Greto is not the 17 years of home, but 20 for voting and 21 for the purchase and consumption of alcohol and drugs. The nation's looser controls on the ownership of firearms should provoke Inutolanders to caution in their dealings with native Gretons; all adult citizens should be assumed armed.

Valsir's moderate stances on societal issues are essentially similar to those of Inutoland, and receive commendation. However, the Foreign Service advise that the country is extremely stratified, almost to the point of an informal caste system. The absolutist nature of their monarchy is a case in point, though it is tempered somewhat by federalism, while the outward-looking militarism of Valsir has marked it in Foreign Service files as a potential conquistador state.

All in all, Valsir is a pleasant enough place to visit, but an uneasy diplomatic companion.

Foreign Service advisory: Neutral Slavery State
The Soviet Technocracy, despite its Communist-sounding name, is a libertarian capitalist corporate state practising slavery on a strange, apparently consensual basis. While the Foreign Service has some doubts about this claim, the Soviet Technocracy seems a reasonable enough place to visit, for a libertatian corporate state. The Soviet Technocracy practises a semblance of democracy, though the electorate is composed entirely of corporate board members and is riddled with corruption. Wolfenium is a nationalist, authoritarian state with few freedoms. The Empire of Yohannes is a democratic constitutional monarchy with a progressive, staunchly anti-slavery and pro-egalitarian governmental stance which Inutoland recognises with the highest approval. The one cautionary note the Foreign Service will sound for travellers from Inutoland is that they should be aware of the dim view the Empire takes of alcohol and drug use, both of which are banned in Imperial territory.

With the highly developed economy of Yohannes, especially its financial sector, the Foreign Service expects that most Inutolanders travelling to the Empire will be businessmen. Business travellers will face no systematic problems in Yohannes as long as the above caveat is borne in mind.

Rejistania is a basically centrist/progressive representative democracy with a high cultural value placed on sports. Its social policies almost exactly mirror those of Inutoland, particularly in terms of sexuality and gender roles, though Inutoland may be more egalitarian in this last. The Foreign Service sees no large potential problems for Inutolanders in this nation.

Costa Fiero is a moralistic, authoritarian democracy with compulsory military service. Its environmental beauty makes it a draw for tourists, but the Foreign Service advises Inutolanders that the moralistic nature of the government should be borne in mind when planning a trip here. Many things that are acceptable and legal in Inutoland are not permitted in Costa Fiero, particularly soft narcotics.

With that said, however, Costa Fiero is still basically welcoming and should not pose major problems for travellers prepared to follow the nation's moral code.

Frenequesta seems to the Foreign Service to be the same sort of moderate state with high individual freedoms that Inutoland herself is. The high value placed on equality, moderate business regulation and progressive soccial policy are all commended by the Foreign Service and should feel completely normal to visiting Inutolanders. In particular, the Frenequestan business environment, though structured a little differently through these "workers cooperatives", achieves broadly the same ends as Inutoland's smaller-scale business model, frowning on large hierarchical corporations.

Xarithis
Foreign Service Advisory:Use Caution
Xarithis is not a place for the faint of heart. The post-apocalyptic milieu makes mere survival more of a challenge than in less destroyed states, and Xarithians typically do not have much time or energy to spare for frivolity. This is not to say that the people are unfriendly or unwelcoming, but to give caution that one's imposition on this fragile society should not be done lightly.
The Foreign Service is concerned by the dictatorial government style, but hopes that this is due to the exigences of the situation. In time, as this diverse and potentially vibrant nation restores itself, the Foreign Service hopes that a transition to more democratic institutions will come about.
