The 2nd Helghaz Division is an armoured division of the Imperial Indonesian Army. It was originally formed in the aftermath of the National Army Re-organisation following the union with the Confederate States of Anagonia, with main focus being placed in the development of a trully professional army and land formation, and the abandonment of the outdated conscript practise of the Indonesian Empire of Yohannes. Following the union with Anagonia, and the subsequent formation of the Empire of Anagonia-Yohannes, a serious re-organisation of the army was needed. The result was the retainment of a professional standing force of ten land divisions, with emphasis being made in quality, and not quantity of the said coalition of formation. The 2nd Helghaz Division is one of the current active professional 10 active divisions of the Empire of Anagonia-Yohannes The goverment of the Empire of Anagonia-Yohannes allocated an estimated ¥546,412.16 (not converted to Universal Standard Dollar yet) worth of training and equipment of its military budget per men.

The divisional headquarter is located in the constituent grand duchy of Lombok, specifically south west of the seaside village of Bayun. The 2nd Helghaz Division is made up of four brigades - 20th Javanese Armoured Br., 26th Surabayan Armoured, 17th Javanese Artillery, and 2nd Javanese Mechanized Br. The divisional units of the 2nd Helghaz Division are : 2nd Division HQ and Signal Regiment, 2nd Regiment IAS (Imperial Air Support), 12th IEU (Imperial Engineer Unit), 3rd Logistic Support Unit, 4th Logistic Support Unit, and 29th (IADS) Imperial Air Defence Support.

Out of Context : I was actually surprised when the result was shown. Although it seems my nation as a whole has adopted the Social Market Economic System perfectly (Extensive Social Welfare system, world-ranked educational system, healthy national healthcare budget), it seems that my own personal view is more Right Wing Economically, whilst maintaining a moderately conservative Socially according to that chart up there.

I have always viewed myself as a Liberal Conservative by heart.

Imperial Indonesia's Immigration Problem

At the moment, Indonesia Youth Org. - a youthful Indonesian internet firm employing 130 people - is turning away highly qualified job applicants. But that could soon change.

In a decade or so Imperial Indonesia will start to experience severe skilled labour shortages.

"It's a good idea to bring special people to us and highly qualified people. I think we will need this. Already at the moment we have here some people which are not originally from Indonesia - 10% or so - this percentage will become higher," says Abdullah, a recent immigrant to Imperial Indonesia

With a declining birth rate and an ageing population Imperial Indonesia has been forced into a radical re-think.

Recommendations

A nation which has never seen itself as an immigration country has been forced to admit that immigration may not only be good for the nation, it may even be necessary.

"An ageing and shrinking population needs goods and services and somebody has to produce the goods and has to provide the services," says Professor Suswoto Brantoro of the Immigration Commission, who published a recommendations on the future of immigration in Imperial Indonesia.

"We need immigrants, and not only as an exceptional deviation from normality but as the new normality."

"This means Imperial Indonesia should come to terms with its demographic future and this would be to recruit attractive immigrants for permanent settlement," he says.

The commission's report recommends targeted economic migration. Would-be settlers would qualify using a points system with bonuses for their skills qualifications and their language ability.

But numbers will be modest to start with - just 40,000 to 50,000 people per year.

The chair of the commission, Professor Mari Sinta Handyaraningsih, says she wants a flexible system.

"Every year we are looking (at) how many have come and which are the needs. What we know already, starting with the year 2010 we need much more and when I said we recommend 50,000 we didn't count the family. Usually we count at least three persons per average," she says.

Pros and cons

The demographic time-bomb means Imperial Indonesia's lavish welfare state and high pensions could soon be unsustainable.

It is surprising nonetheless that no one is suggesting cutting back social protection.

Instead immigration is now seen as the answer.

But for Dr. Cipto Mangkusumo of the association of the Unitary Indonesian Empire of Yohannes Chambers of Commerce, immigration has to be carefully targeted.

"If there is a problem with the labour market that we cannot find people that the companies need then that is a negative fact on the gross national product," he says.

A new wave of immigration could also change things for Imperial Indonesia's large illegal Middle Eastern and African community.

Forty years since the first guest workers arrived and many of the country's Turks still endure second class status.

"For the first time since 40 years migration is being discussed in a positive manner. This will help also the people who are now living here because I think they will have some measures who will help to integrate the people to give them maybe a more equal rights," says Mohammed Cinar, vice-president of Imperial Indonesia's Middle Eastern community.


The government will publish its own proposals in September and legislation will follow soon after.

The Imperial Indonesian Government's main objective has been to keep immigration out of the next election.

Mary-Elizabeth Negarasanto, the government's Commissioner for Minority Rights, says the opposition, right-wing Liberal Conservatist and Christian Democrats will have to tread a careful line.

"The situation really has changed. The unions and the entrepreneurs, they all claim that we need immigration so I think the Liberal Conservative Party and Christian Democratic Party has to be careful that they don't isolate themselves."

Imperial Indonesia has never seen itself as a multi-cultural society and talk of integration has at times taken on an intolerant tone.

Then the message was that foreigners had to behave like Indonesians. But Indonesians themselves are now embarking on a journey which could change their society forever.

I have some other so-called "colonies", but they don't really stand in the same class as this nation, in terms of strict NS only Gameplay and NS Diplomatic capability nor Economical International Corporations Capacity.
